The h2o jointed swim baits look fantastic in the water. I don’t know if the fish think so , yet . My wife got them for me for Christmas .

I learned this well last weekend. The Revo Rocket is not a good reel for spinnerbaits .

That’s a good idea. I’ve always just smeared the hot glue on the tip of the blank, but your way makes a lot more sense.

Usually I cast it out, give it a little line and watch for the line to jump or start moving. Once the line goes limp, I reel up my slack and lift the rod tip slowly feeling for soggy weight or movement. If there’s nothing there I let it sink one more time and then twitch my rod tip a few times. Then I reel it back in and cast it again .

Fishing during a storm is awesome , as long as there’s no lightning and strong winds. After a storm usually the fishing sucks.

The first two years I tried bass fishing everybody told me that the algae bloom had killed all the bass in my home lake. Even the game warden told me to fish for walleye. My confidence was at zero, but I kept trying. Eventually I had a long conversation with an elderly fisherman and he sent me to the exact spot where I got my first bass . Since then I have come to find that the old timers are usually dialed in and will help you out if you are struggling.
