  1. Be there at 6;30. cant wait! Havent fished butler for about 15 years.
  2. Water spots!
  3. I don't think about anything. That's why I love to fish.
  4. I like the STX. Its just a preference. Hell, I still use a 40 yr old 33 about a 1/4 of the time.
  5. My dealer told me the same thing about using premium plus. Checked mercury and they say dfi. I was also running premium gas (92 oct), after I switched to lower octane, it does not smoke as much.
  6. My boy and I plan on being there. Red Ford with Z118 ranger. Should be fun. Hope we can get into the lily pads.
  7. I would be up for it! My only concern is you get more than 10 boats on Butler, its crowded.
  8. I bought a Z118 2012 showroom boat in sept. of last year fully loaded with many upgrades for $35000. You might look around and see if anyone has a 2013 they need to get rid of to stock a 2014.
  9. Does anyone make a 6 or 6 1/2' heavy rod?
  10. That can be very entertaining to just sit back and watch!
  11. I am pretty much exclusive on a fenwick hmg. to me it is a good all around rod for just about anything.
  12. 2 reels, glasses. good thing TW sale ended could have gotten real expensive!
  13. Lately we have been going real early am and fish til about 9-10 am. Leave at the time the partiers from the night before start getting up and around. Its been working pretty good, but there is no way I am even going to try it this weekend!
  14. went to a new one yesterday in derby. they are getting few and far between at least around here. spent about 30 min just talking to old guy and buying some home made jigs. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. kinda like it was when I was a kid remembering and seeing all the bait tanks from crawdads to frogs and every live bait in between. I hope he can stay in buissnes cause they don't seem to last very long around here.
  15. I have a z118. went from a tracker to it. no comparison on ride, dryness and fishability. i wont go back to aluminum. depends on where and how you fish and how deep pockets you have. i dont believe i would spend the extra cash on a aluminum boat just for the name. most are all quality boats. balance and layout are the key.
  16. I had a 2006 Tracker Targa Sport. Good boat. Tough, dry, and comfortable ride. Bought it new, had to due some modifications over a few years to get the layout like I wanted it. No complaints overall. Only downfall in having a deep v aluminum is wind, Hard to control on windy days. In Kansas that's every day! Since I have moved on to a "real bass boat", Ranger glass, more money, heavier, don't catch any more fish than my Tracker did. I miss it quite often.
  17. Dont seem like its such a good deal now. I would send them to abu or a trusted reel man to get them fixed. Thats why I wont buy anything on ebay.
  18. I am afraid it will be to top heavy. I wouldn't want to stand on it .
  19. they are built to spec from whoevers name is on them. example; you can go to wallmart, buy a 42" sony tv for $300 dollars. you can go to best buy and see the exact tv for $500. thedifference will 1 or 2 #'s in manufactuers #. i was told thats whats the difference. as for which is better, you would think the more expensive would be better quality. but how do you really know. i personally dont care, if it feels good, works good, and it catches fish thats what i want. i still use " old zebco 33's" for most my crappie and panfish poles.
  20. The Snip! best that I have found and all I use is braid.
