  1. I’d consider surf fishing. A white bucktail with grub trailer is a no-brainer. When in Rome……
  2. He’s a beautiful boy. Your efforts are paying off.

Awful busunessman or awful in the front office of a professional basketball team? Elway got Manning, other than that he wasn’t exactly a genius administrator. Is Elway an awful business man? When Tom Brady gets to $2B give me a holler. I can only agree to disagree on MJ.

$93 million playing basketball. Tom Brady made $500 million. Will Brady get to $2 billion? You’re right, MJ was smart enough to listen to his advisors - a darn good business decision.

He might not be brilliant, but generally, people who suck at business don’t end up as multi-billionaires. He was smart enough to parlay his dominance on the basketball court into a fortune. There are some real idiots running around out there, but I don’t count MJ as one of them.

    He’s earned over $1 billion post-retirement.

  8. 2 old BassPro Crankin’ Sticks. A 7’MH and a 7’M.
  9. Guess I wasn’t the only one who thought he needed some seasoning.
  10. The Rangers bats are hot right now, but that’s no excuse. Rodriguez just isn’t ready for prime time IMO. We need to get Means back.
  11. Lews Hack Attack still available for $69.99 in cart. (half off) I’d take this over CarbonLite anyday. https://www.academy.com/p/lews-hack-attack-hd-lfs-100-baitcast-reel

  13. I bet you’ll like it. I mostly have Tournament Pros and above Lews reels and I’d have ordered a Hack Attack if they had a lefty. Too good a deal to pass up and I’’m confident I would have liked it. I wouldn’t sweat it.
  14. The key to winning baseball games is pitching, fundamentals, and three run homers. - Earl Weaver

  16. Forget my suggestion. @A-Jay clearly has the best, most practical solution. This route will save you alot of headache.
  17. No easy way to do this. You have to disconnect all the wires/cable from one end (take your pick), then take the old jacket off, and then route those wires/cable back through the new jacket. Take pictures before you disconnect everything. You might want to consider trying to find some rubber tape. We called it “strawberry tape”. When stretched and wrapped it actually sticks to itself. This stuff won’t unwrap - it adheres to itself so well that you have to destroy it to unwrap it. https://www.grainger.com/product/3DXU8?gucid=N:N:PS:Paid:GGL:CSM-2295:4P7A1P:20501231&gclid=Cj0KCQjwmZejBhC_ARIsAGhCqndI0UxL0AIuz9Zfep4ikZJuvMYEIlR-SiimmeTQiKPTG6aBkhEsJ9YaAg5EEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
  18. And when I was a young kid and everything was simple. A 1/8 jig head and a 4” curl tail worm accounted for most of my fish back then.
  19. @Ski it looks to me like Poche was within the rules. Petty as it sounds, I think it boils down to the fact that Poche's tin boat was able to access water that his competitors were not. They chose the advantage of a bigger, fully outfitted bass boat, and Poche chose the advantage of a smaller boat that allowed him access to water that his competitors boats couldn't access. Petty Bs IMO or what I'd call making it up as you go along. Poche put out a video on FaceBook that explains his side of it, and your "tournament Information" post seems to back up his argument.
  20. The only reason I’d switch baits when they’re biting is if I broke off and didn’t have another one to tie on. I have plenty of time to “experiment” when they’re not biting.
  21. I use an old 6’ ML St Croix. Works for all my panfish/crappie needs. Like everything else, light tackle can be taken to extremes. For throwing 1/16 jigs with a 1” or 2” grub or a beetle spin my old ML fills the need. I have a Dobyns Champion xp 732s and I prefer the old 6’ St Croix all day for crappie and blue gill. Light spinning tackle for me means low stress, simple fishing. You can make it as complicated as you want.
  22. Don’t feel bad. I cast into low hanging trees all summer long. I even have a set of small pruning shears - get in, cut the branch, & get out.
  23. After 25 years using spinning gear I decided to try a baitcaster. Started with a $59 combo from Bass Pro and took only the baitcaster in the boat, leaving me no other option other than to learn how to use a baitcaster. In 2 days I was able to cast without (much) backlash. Never looked back - wasn’t that hard and there are 13 baitcaster setups on my back porch to prove it. Persistence. I’ve used both and I’m glad I learned how to use a baitcaster.
