  1. I think a 2 power from Dobyns is going to be too light for what you want to do. I throw weightless 4”senkos on a Kaden 713C. Call Dobyns and tell them what you want to achieve, and they’ll point you in the right direction. First time I called them I went against their advice and wasn’t satisfied, so I eventually bought what they’d originally recommended and realized they were right. 1 (903) 919-8028. Easy to get through.

  4. If you’ve ever worked civil service it’s probably not limited to only ONE dirtbag.
  5. FBI. All I need to know.
  6. If I’m fishing with my brother and I catch 17 fish and he catches 7 fish, but his best 5 fish weigh 8oz more than my 5 best, is he the better fisherman? I’d rather watch Tim Horton catch 60lbs in the final period to come from 30 lbs behind any day.
  7. Alot fewer than I used to. 3 or 4 rods rigged up to start and maybe a couple of changes during a 4-5 hour day. Some days I take 1 spinning rod and just throw a small swimbait all day.
  8. I prefer most total weight of ALL fish. I like all the jockeying on the leaderboard. Especially during the preliminaries when the guys near the cut line are within 1 fish of each other.
  9. The 714C and Kadens in general are the fastest action rods in the Dobyns lineup. I had a 714C and it tired me out throwing 3/8oz spinnerbaits for that reason. The Sierra and Champion 734C are much better suited for spinnerbaits and more “comfortable”. I’ve thrown spinnerbaits on my Kaden 714C for an hour, then picked up the Champion 734 and I noticed relief to my forearm instantly. My Kaden 714 broke (my fault) and I traded it in for a Kaden 744C. The 744 is only 3” longer but is (to me) a completely different rod. I use it for swim jigs and I think it would be good for spinnerbaits.
  10. It’s week 5. We won’t know what’s real until mid/late November. I think I can safely say that the Panthers aren’t going to the Super Bowl.
  11. I’ve had alot of problems in my life - 90% of them never happened.
  12. You can always have a shadowbox made for it and hang it in the man-cave. I wouldn’t do it, but other than using it I don’t know what else you could do with it.
  13. Omnia has the BB1 Pro for $160. Code MOVING20.
  14. If you’re using it for a trailer, a Zoom Creepy Crawler twin tail is close and comes in white. White is a little harder to find in craw/creature baits in my experience because white will sometimes be offered by the manufacturer, but not all vendors will carry it.
  15. I use the BB1 Pro for jerkbaits because it throws a 110 further than any other reel I own. If one of your goals is to be able to cover alot of water then the BB1 is a great choice. I’ve never used a Super Duty, but I own 8 or 10 Lew’s reels and they all perform flawlessly.
  16. You’re disappointed? I’m frikkin’ crushed! LOL! Another lead squandered.
  17. OK. I’m not a mental gymnast and I thought you meant that Doyo reels have drag problems. My bad.
  18. You originally said Doyo reels. No mention about which line of Doyo reels. Yes - carbon fiber.
  19. Dobyns Champion alternate cork handle testing.(Like what they did with Kadens) He’s testing 4 types of cork/hybrid handles on 4 models. Initial offering at $199. https://dobynsrods.com/specials/?fbclid=IwAR14S0zR1HmjNp8W4h7WwW2dNtv6Xxa1ZynhZFn6uJQCuIasCA0YRFs4nDQ
  20. I tried it twice last month and it looks good even though I didn’t have any luck. It’s easy to rig up and I think it’s definitely worth a try. It looks too good in the water not to work and I’ll be fishing it again.
