I like Randy Blaukut and have watched alot of his videos. He’s not real fond of the direction professional bass fishing has taken. So what? In an ultrasonic cleaner I wouldn’t be surprised if you could get away with something as mild as Dawn dishwashing liquid or some similarly mild cleaner. I used an ultrasonic cleaner at work for years on corroded/dirty parts and I never ceased to be amazed at the results. Tractor Supply probably has some kind of industrial cleaner that you mix 10:1 and rinse with water.

My first baitcaster was right handed. Having used only spinning gear up to that point, switching hands and cranking with my right hand was just too awkward. I sold that reel and I’ve used left handed ever since. I don’t think it matters which hand you use, as long as you like it. For me, I couldn’t overcome 30 years of using spinning reels.

In VA our game wardens have the same authority as our State Police. I had a game warden pull me over on my motorcycle and was tempted to tell him to mind his own business. Luckily I kept my mouth shut. Later, I was telling the story to a friend and he explained to me about game wardens in VA.

Buy a swimbait rod. For a 2oz. swimbait I'd want a rod rated 1-4oz minimum, preferably even higher. Throwing swimbaits, an inadequate rod bothers me alot more than a less than perfect reel. I use an old Abu C4 with no problems - my rod however, is not the greatest. If I threw more big swimbaits I'd be looking for a rod rather than a reel.
