  1. Brent erhler 7’ MMH Finesse or 7’3” All Purpose. or go to the Ish lineup if you like the big rods.
  2. Those may be the ticket right there!
  3. Is It heavy and bulky? I like a slim light rod.
  4. Maybe a 7’1” heavy plus Zodias? It’s rated 7/16 - 2oz
  5. I also have some x-zone craws in 3.5”. For now I’ll cut them down to fit.
  6. FYI I have some 3.5” Z-craws and they are about an inch too big for these. I need 2.5” trailers.
  7. Just got home from academy with 3 SK Bitsy Flips and 2 tour grade SK Finesse Jigs all 1/4oz obviously. They had nothing in small trailers though. Wanted to see some in person. I’ll have to order some now. oh, grabbed a white back shad magdraft too.
  8. I actually sold It and just found out the guy I sold It to is using It for magdrafts! I screwed that up but didn’t think about magdrafts then.
  9. Any thoughts on a Dobyns 746c for this? Yeah I know it’s an inch longer than I said
  10. I’ll be throwing the magdraft way more than a bull shad. Would the TB be too much Rod for strictly 1.3 oz magdrafts?
  11. My jerkbaits are 1/2oz Vision 110s. Throw them on a Dobyns Kadens 610-4cb jerkbait rod, 12lb fc. SV for me. I have the Tat limited sv 7.1 on mine.
  12. I’ll be using It with 14-16lb fc.
  13. I’m looking for a swimbait rod for 6” magdrafts (freestyle and regular) and 5” and 6” bull shads. On The scale the regular magdraft is 1.25 oz and the freestyle is 1.3 oz with 6/0 beast hook. The bull Shads are advertised at 1.35oz and 2oz for the 5 and 6. I want a 7’ (7’3” max) rod. I will not be bomb casting. I will be flipping these around, casting 20 yards around points, etc. I do currently have an Orochi Perfect Pitch, which they say is a great magdraft rod, however it’s setup with an 8.1 reel. Also it’s under powered for a bull Shad I think. Alternatively I could just buy and spool up a 6.2 reel and put It on the perfect pitch when I want to throw magdrafts.
  14. If this is one of those 2000+ boat big fish tourneys, good luck is all I’ll say.
  15. Also you could probably just drag a t-rig 10” worm around the bottom. A lot of my fish are coming up off the base of the tree to eat the falling senko.
  16. You probably know this but in Texas there’s only one natural lake (Caddo). Everything is is manmade, mostly flooded valleys, etc that used to be woods. I like a weightless Texas rigged senko pitched right into them.
  17. Less than $3 for the bitsy bug? That’s right up my alley. Wonder if the tiny rage bug would be good on it.
  18. 1/4oz pitching jig and small trailer?
  19. They don’t even carry fishing stuff at ours.
  20. Yeah I see what you’re saying. Basically, it’s a gimmick since you can just lock down drag on most reels and accomplish the same thing.
  21. I bought this for my son’s first bc years ago. Thing was terrible. Took It back and got a Lew’s classic combo from Walmart that is still going strong (although now it’s been moved to channel cat duty). I say learn them on a real bc, not this thing.
  22. I see an advantage. I use 20lb line on my pitching setups and have the drag locked down pretty good. Close quarters, Hard hook set, get in boat. If needed, engage thumb bar. Seems this reel is marketed for heavy Braid line and frogging/topwater. 65lb Braid, hard hook set, drag out of the muck, get in boat.
  23. Same. Just looked.
  24. Any update on this reel in the real world? Watching cliff crochet wear them out using this reel, straight braid, topwater and flipping.
