  1. I want a short rod for light pitching and accurate spinnerbait casting. Here’s the choices: Falcon Expert Head Turner 6’10” H $195 Dobyns Champ XP 684c 6’8” H $180 Or any others I should look at?
  2. Same. I’ve had this exact rod for chatterbaits with 50lb straight braid. I never lost fish. Was a great combo. On jumps, I lower the rod but I’m sweeping the rod to put more tension on them if that makes sense. No slack at all.
  3. I’ve used improved clinch on every fishing knot I’ve ever tied (except dropshot) with no issues including 50lb mono on saltwater gear.
  4. Lews have more powerful drag than most but if you’re wanting to stay with Daiwa a Tatula CT can be had for about $100 or I’ll sell you a stronger Tatula 150 that will handle any of that for $150.
  5. I think your small ponds that you carry your canoe into are going to be ok.
  6. I’ve never heard any of that or any guarantees but that sounds like click bait videos and not something I’d watch anyway. The pros that do instructional type videos are the ones I like. They make no guarantees but do teach some pretty standard rules for certain waters and seasons. As far as how they finish in tournaments. Not every one can finish first. They are fishing against the best in the world. The fact that they are fishing the tours at that level is impressive to me.
  7. Custom knife I had made from a file. Can’t see in this pic but the liners are blue.
  8. Yeah I don’t like the 12” very much. But I do have these 15” worms https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/NetBait_BaitFuel_C-Mac_Curly_Tail_Worm/descpage-NBCSAS.html?from=basres Only used them once and caught about a 2 pounder. They are almost all curly tail and less body though so pretty delicate Worm.
  9. 10.5” ol monster and 10” power worm is a summer time staple for me.
  10. Buddy and I went prefishing today for a tournament that’s this weekend. Caught these three in about 5 minutes in one area and left It alone. Water temps still in the 50s here. Hoping It’s even better this weekend.
  11. It was really tough. Low weights. I got second overall and first big bass. But It was only 4lb 7oz.
  12. Are these any good?
  13. Lmao this hits home. I was shot in line of duty in 2016 and was wearing green briefs (whitie tighties but green). Everyone got to see that hahaha
  14. Anyone’s shipped yet?
  15. Showed up right in the cart when I put them in initially.
  16. Bought these tonight. I almost never use a lizard except for with c-rig in the summer. But for $2.99 a pack I might try flipping these around this weekend. Anyone ever used these colors in anything?
  17. Nice. That should be fun.
  18. Hopefully they come in this week. Would like to use them Saturday in a tournament.
  19. My post was actually two different thoughts. One about your social anxiety and the other about people (not you) expecting the entry level employees to answer their questions. Btw, that dude may not have been who stocked the shelf to read what they had, but sounds Like he got you to the swimbaits so mission accomplished. Also some MB packaging is actually hard to decipher if you don’t already know it’s Megabass.
  20. In BPT you’re allowed to get out of the boat to retrieve a lure with no penalty. 3 minute penalty if you get out of the boat otherwise. He may have taken his penalty once they got where they were going. OR more likely, there’s a safety clause or something in the rules where you can get out of the boat to get It unstuck or around obstacles without penalty. Either way, no disqualification or anything like that. Did y’all see I think It was Todd Faircloth get on the Marina to retrieve his lure and his boat floated away. It’s a 3 minute penalty if the official has to help with the boat so he casted and caught his boat with jerkbait and pulled It back to him. He was using jb rod and 10lb line so he had to be careful and slow. Took at least 5 minutes to save himself a 3 minute penalty ? It was cool though.
  21. I too went with baby bass and green pumpkin black flake. Baby bass has been my number one senko producer. Picked up some green weenie senkos yesterday that look pretty awesome though. I’m actually pretty pumped about these Yamatanuki baits. I legitimately think they will be money pitching into really heavy wood cover.
  22. First I’ve heard spring up fall down. What’s the premise behind this?
  23. prespawn/Shad spawn deal for me.
  24. It would be awesome to watch but wouldn’t prove anything. They are all great fishermen. Could do the same event 100 times and each side could win 50 of them.
