This is what I think is dumb: “Powell’s fish isn’t the biggest Texas bass ever caught by a lady angler, but it is the biggest ever turned over to the International Game Fish Association for consideration as a women’s 12-pound line class world record. The application is currently under review by the International Game Fish Association's records committee is pending approval, according to Zach Bellapigna, the organization’s angler recognition coordinator.” Is It really a record if everyone actually knows bigger fish have been caught, even in her own female Angler class? I say no. There’s a guy on another forum I’m on that has a ton of state and world “records”….on obscure things like handlining a small tilapia and other stupid stuff like that. Not even big fish but it’s “records” people don’t even know exist so he has them by default. Wow. Cool. Lol

Heavy or XH Fast for the freestyle depending on the rod. I use a Orochi perfect pitch for both.

I have the DX 746 and I would say 1.5-1.75 oz Honestly. I traded my 745 for the 746 because I felt like they are a little overrated. mileage may vary

Cheap mono

I agree on the spinning combos. Haven’t focused on them at all. Might look at a better spinning rod. Especially since summer is coming and I like to fish wacky a lot for suspended fish.

Tackle trap guy is too pushy of a salesman. Tries to convince you to buy certain things when it’s clearly not what you want.

Carolina keepers is what I use. Weight, 2 Carolina keepers, hook. Love c-rig.

I have the GLX MBR 844c. I don’t know the exact year but it has a serial number so 2019 or newer. I can’t really explain why I don’t prefer It. It’s super nice. It’s a little more moderate than I like for sure. I don’t know. It’s just my least favorite and I need to sell one to try a new one. My most used rod by far is the Rebellion. I just love throwing Weightless Texas rigged senkos and to me it’s perfect for that. I also really like my Champ 684c and I haven’t even used It yet. Lol. Just feels like the perfect weight/balance/length for pitching (I’m 5’6”).

Sounds like that’s what he’s doing.

There’s a guy that studies those and sells the waypoints. But he talks about the entire lake on YouTube. So I’ve sat many hours zooming in on his video and marking the spots manually on my navionics lol. I stopped though because It took forever and I never actually found anything good from his spots on the water.

I’m fishing a tournament on Richland Chambers tomorrow. I don’t have any spots out there so not super confident.

I need to go fish some east/southeast Texas lakes.
