  1. d**n, I bet if I cuss enough that'll get me off of here, lmao This dude is just mad or something because nobody is watching his channel
  2. Is there any way to delete your account on here??
  3. No, actually I didnt, but I'll be on outta here, y'all have a good one How do you delete your account on here??
  4. According to this video from Shoal Bandit, there are 19 recognized bass sunfish species. To be clear, what we call "bass" are not bass at all, but sunfish. True bass are stripers, white bass, and perch https://youtu.be/-SZOX3l0Nww?si=nWM5wj6GJe3rFpbu
  5. Bro, I looked back on a thread I started last year about nightcrawlers, and you posted a big ol bronze back you caught on a jig and half crawler, so I'm testing my homegrown cornfed crawlers at a shallow pond tomorrow, with some big bass and shellcrackers in it I saw some big bass chilling next to this drain pipe or whatever a few days ago but wouldnt bite anything I threw at em, but I've read on here that even the most wary bass can hit a live crawler, presented properly
  6. I'm honestly tired of banging my head on the wall with all the options to choose from nowadays, I mean, if we made a list of all available lures nowadays, no telling how many pages it would take up. So I think I'm just going to go with worms, I have Senko 5", Roboworm 6" fat and 7 " straight, I've got 12" Mann's jelly worms, 7", 10" and 12" Powerbait worms. I've got Zoom trick worms and U tails, Powerbait Nightcrawlers, and have some 6" SK cut r tails arriving tomorrow. I have 2/0-5/0 offset worm hooks and plenty of bullet and egg sinkers. Out of all these I SHOULD find something the bass want or are biting on. Clearly I bought all these worms, for some reason or reasons. SUPPOSEDLY the state record striped bass in NC was 66 lbs on a black trick worm, and the record spotted bass almost 7 lbs was caught on a Zoom finesse worm Edit: my main target right now is a highly pressured pond, I was reading @Pat Brown recommended a Zoom super fluke jr, so I may get some of those to try, and I have some 4" Gulp minnows I rig with a 2/0 worm hook that have a wobble on the fall, that I'm going to mess with. And I can't get away from the Rage craw, weightless it can double as a topwater so has versatility. The state record LM in NC was caught from a pond
  7. I cant recommend this bait as I haven't used it, but I came across it last night, and looks like it could be good. The Riot Vigilante Vigilante – Riot Baits https://share.google/Gfp5vR8GjN94uP87c
  8. Dont overlook the slip float rig, it can give you better casting distance, and keep baits in the strike zone longer
  9. Depends on the music, but usually no. I went drum fishing with my buddy at cape point, and we took the ferry out to Ocrakoke island, 70 minute ride nowadays, and we get out there and one of his friends puts on the the first track of life after death by biggie smalls, cringe. I used to listen to that garbage and then I grew up. This man did go out on a charter recently and they landed a 700+ lb tuna, so he loves fishing at least, but not sure he could catch bass regularly
  10. People catch nice bass often while crappie fishing with little jigs, if you're hook is sharp no need to worry about sticking them. And different rod maunfacturer's may have the same rating but will feel different so if trying an unfamiliar brand, you may want to hold it before purchasing. This guy caught a 5 lber a few days ago on a 1.5" charlie brewer slider red/chartreuse
  11. I was kind of to this thinking myself, that starting with loud presentations would spook the already finicky fish, but others say by not starting out power fishing that youre missing out on already active fish, and could trigger non active fish into biting. I suppose it is situation dependent, I was reading an article about KVD's 6 season/all season guide for fishing a lake, and he said his system is why he was able to catch bass, even on bodies of water he had never fished on. And that's something else to speak on, is which lures would be considered in between or a combo of power and finesse. Largemouth's favorite foods are fish and crawdads, so that's what I plan on throwing mostly this year, I got the 3.75 Rage swimmers and 4" Rage craws, and backing those up with a Cut r worm
  12. When you guys pick an area apart, do you generally start by power fishing to get the active fish to bite, then pick off the more finicky fish after, or start finesse and then power thru, or neither?? Lol. I just like to have subtle and flashy baits just in case the fish prefer one over the other, but when is best to use either
  13. I have a couple packs of Senkos I may never use again, lol, but I did order a pack of SK Cut r worms to try, since I like swimming baits
  14. Hank Cherry won two Classic's barely leaving the boat ramp, lol
  15. I hit the pond today and I always fish the dock, and there was no sign of any fish, not even bluegill, so assuming they're on the banks?
  16. The nightcrawlers are doing good, I have a bunch of baby worms and cocoons, and the castings are near needing sifting. Looking forward to seeing if I can catch some nice bass on these this year
  17. Get a topo map, or there's probably maps of lakes online, dont know how detailed they might be Guntersville Waterproof Map #102 – Kingfisher Maps, Inc. https://share.google/gn1Rwox63qsPHkV87 This is what Im talking about, its good to have a physical copy for your home lake but there has to be some good apps that can show your bodies of water. Shows creek channels, humps, the main river channel, dropoffs and such
  18. Shallow water anchor, deeper water you can drift some, it all depends
  19. If you fish wooden docks, take a drill when no one is looking and drill holes in your spots and put spiral rod holders in them and set your rod in those. I devised this after losing a couple rods while catfishing a pond, one was a rod my buddy gave me, so I said this isnt happening again. I had a rod go in that a kid next to me hooked my line and was able to pull in my rod and reel in the fish. I let him take the pic with it. This is more for live bait fishing, any time youre fishing with live fish, a huge bass could hit it, or anything else. I was crappie fishing one of my spots at the lake with a slip float and live minnows, not big minnows, just the mediums. I see my float go down and next thing I know a 6-7 largemouth comes wallowing out of the water. I wrestle him to the bank on my light spinning setup, and instead of going down to lip it, I pulled the line towards my hand, and the #6 aberdeen eagle claw hook straightened, and the fish laid there a second, long enough for me to touch it, then shot back in the water. I caught another little one after that but was obviously deflated
  20. The Rapala Glass Shad Rap's will suspend on the pause, and have a very slow rise. Can also use bigger hooks to actually make it slowly sink. That what I caught the fish in my pic on, the #7 purple. Caught in the middle of January in the afternoon, first time at a new spot testing new lures. Cast it out and was barely turning the reel handle when I thought I got snagged, then saw my line start to move and said, that's a fish!!
  21. I haven't seen the Baby Possum swim but the Bucca baby bull rat has a killer action and wobble to it
  22. I got these I need to use, the Rebel bumble bug and crickhopper can get a lot of action but I need to replace the trebles with bigger ones. The bluegill and craw ones are Yo Zuri and the little lipless is a tiny trap
  23. I use 2.5" Gulp minnows on 1/32 or 1/16 jig head, 2" Power Minnows ( not the powerbait minnows, these are the Power minnows that look like a real fish) the same with some Pro Cure, but Im going to experiment with fresh garlic and just rubbing it on the lure. Also Power nymphs on a 1/32 jig head with a loop knot. Got a Rapala shallow shad 5 to play with, it's 3/16 oz. I generally cast these but will use a Thill pro series slip float if the situation calls for it. I fish these for crappie but they catch bass as well, another reason I like bfs. But I'm going to have to check out that Karashi everyone is mentioning. Oh yeah, and I gotta get some flashback minis
  24. Advancements in technology, incredibly versatile selection of things to choose from now, and corporate brainwashing. Im all about being a versatile angler but I think playing to your strengths and enjoying fishing is most important and if that means using older lures, that's what one should do. All Im seeing on social media right now is the "fuzzy dice," and thats all you need to catch a bass. Well, the main reason the fuzzy dice is popular is because it shows up good on ffs, which has completely changed the game. How many lures are now being produced specifically for ffs, a lot
  25. @Pat Brown will you recommend the hook sharpening tool you use, and will it work with circle hooks
