  1. A possibility. They even look shiny chrome in the photos which is weird for Owner trebles.
  2. Amazon? I’d say a counterfeit. My feather trebles look like the ones you have pictured.
  3. Have never seen them. Interesting.
  4. I use a similar bag to @PhishLI bag but a Megellan brand . At Academy for like $25. in camo.
  5. Yeah mine is probably three years old this season
  6. I concur with @Big Hands , the Phenix is a great BFS rod Although I use a Curado BFS reel which has been great too
  7. Do you like the 200? Is the size feel much bigger than the 150 in palmability? (If that’s a word 😀) I’m using an old “greenie” Curado cu200 for my swimbaits and considering a new 200M but don’t know if I’d gain anything in performance and definitely don’t want a bigger reel.
  8. Ahhh, @psohnle I totally see the “big stick” being more target focused towards pike and such. Visualizing using it in the bass world was my shortcoming. Thanks for posting and clarification of it’s intended use. And Welcome to Bassresource.com
  9. I think the Neosporin industry is in cahoots with big band-aid!
  10. Congratulations to you and yours on this new endeavor. A lake home is a fantasy world with having the feeling of being on vacation everyday! Good luck with the build and don’t compromise, this is it!
  11. Not to sure of the difference, the magnesium frame maybe, and the price. The MGL and the Met both are 150 sized reels. Digitaka has the Met for $247 now. You can find the Curado mgl for $225.00 on eBay. The Met MGL B at TW is the upper end, super premium price reflects it.
  12. @Swamp Girl I would highly recommend the Sponson Stabilizer addition to your canoe. The improved stability is unbelievable and confidence inspiring. I would dare to say “virtually impossible ” to flip the canoe. You could be tossed if standing in rough water but sitting, certainly never. (Ok you never say never but,,,never) Expanding adjustable width, easy on, easy off but once you use them you’ll not want to be without them! Being in my 70’s I still fish alone on big water without fear because of this addition. Be able to fish when you want, without trepidation.
  13. Probably going to be hard to find on JDM since it’s an older model. BassPro has them and maybe find some from Japan on eBay
  14. I’m a Shimano guy and the 150(1) mgl fits like a glove. 30# Smackdown braid is all I’ve ever needed and this combo cast great, palms great and has enough power for pike if need be. It’s my spinnerblade/bladed jig/swimjig set up with 3/8 being far-and-away the range I use most. For me the 100 size is just to small, but ok’ish on a shorter rod like a 5 ‘6” or 6’ throwing smaller rigs.
  15. Strike King Falcon Lake Craw Rage Bug on a 5/16oz free-rig Zoom 6” lizard in Cherry Seed on a 1/4oz free-rig Nikko 6” Shakey Worm in Earthworm on a 1/4oz Texas-rig.
  16. This is how the knowledge for the next generation arrives; experience, tales of lore and camaraderie. Please share when the fancy strikes.
  17. @Captain Phil stay close, please. Be well

    Awwweeeeee mannnnn, that’s not funny!
  19. Such an exacting study as this must be published in all related fishing publications. For complete and accurate analysis was the same bait; length, weight, width and color used under exacting conditions?
  20. Thank you!
  21. Absolutely Awesome! Congratulations on a bag of a lifetime. Wow,,,just Wow !!!
  22. Having lived in Greenvill, SC I’m with @Bluebasser86 . Although I’d move a bit closer to the ocean than G’ville but man, that area was a bass fishing Mecca. Abundant water everywhere and the weather was great!

Kind of line is totally a personal preference. Many on here use , mono, fluro, braid or both (braid with leader). Realistically it usually doesn’t make a huge difference. I use smackdown fluorocarbon in 12#, 30# braid only and braid to leader at various times, depending on water depth, cover, or clarity. Mostly it’s InvisX 12# or Suffix Advanced as “do all” lines.
