  1. The Rod Locker is advertising the Zillion rods 40% off
  2. A longer rod will always have more leverage to set the hook, but with finesse applications/light wire hooks it's negligible. Can't comment on sensitivity, I've never tried two identical mfr actions/powers in different lengths.
  3. The tackle warehouse Evo Minimax has done well for me this year, great bait at $10, stock up if TW ever has another actual sale Spunk Shad is pretty much all I ever use as a trailer. The bladed jig/Spunk shad caught my current PB 5lb14oz so that will always have a special place, but definitely only stock up when DSG sells them half price. When the water is calm I do still prefer the weedless underspin swimbait. Probably should have weighed this one
  4. The TB mini rig isn't all that mini, I usually throw it on a 2oz swimbait rod. The micro is pretty effortless to throw on any medium heavy rod.
  5. Hayabusa WRM201 is my goto, size 1 or 1/0
  6. TW daily doorbuster is InvizX fluoro 50% off. get it while it lasts.
  7. On the budget side of reels the new ark bfs avid casts a karashi like a champ and is on sale at TW for $80. No experience with the pop x stick but the cashion icon 7L is a hard bait bfs beast.
  8. Only one bass from the forebay this morning, but it was a solid chunk.
  9. I'm a big fan of Invizx in 10+lb test but I haven't had good results using it as a BFS mainline. Abrasion resistance in the 6lb test was really bad compared to Tatsu or Daiwa Samurai.
  10. Holes or not I always do the same 2 wraps around the spool and finish with an arbor knot.
  11. The new panfish destroyer. Dobyns Sierra trout/panfish 700, Stradic C2500S, 0.185mm braid and leader.
  12. Hookup tackle 27% off site wide with some restrictions
  13. Been on a bit of an ultralight kick recently, some highlights from Saturday. One eyed kitty on an ultralight rod with a 1/28oz #12 ice fishing jig head was a heck of a fight.
  14. Anyone seeing a file download on mobile when hitting the first level of the forums? All the sub forums load fine but the main forum just triggers a file download. Android/chrome.
  15. Paper template taken to the next level. I designed a little jig to thread fuzzy senkos and had a buddy print it. Cuts the time to thread a worm down significantly.
  16. New PR smallest bass ever hooked, not in the mouth so I guess I can't count it. Bonus crappie
  17. Post gsm I've had to source rod tips from them and it was painless and took less than a week to receive new tip guides at no cost. Buddy also did a post gsm warranty on a Kaden and swapped to a different model via the warranty upgrade. He also had no issues and received the new rod in about a week.
  18. Just arrived from Digitaka. Signature was required, I think that has been a topic lately.
  19. I cover up as much as possible but the face still needs sunscreen no matter what. Sun reflection off the water will burn you just as quick as direct exposure.
  20. Not every manufacturer uses the same hooks and hardware but you're probably good to go with a #3 split ring. That's what's on a lucky craft lc1.5
  21. Popper, karashi, silent spook. Fuzzy Senko has also worked exceptionally well as a top water lol but that requires hanging your line over a tree branch.
  22. I run soft plastics until they won't stay on a hook. Old stuff catches just as good as new.
  23. I'm not a big braid to leader guy on casting but that might be worth looking into if you want a do it all setup. Or go down the rabbit hole and end up with 3 bfs combos, or more
  24. 6lb daiwa samurai fluoro or 6lb maxima ultra green if I want to throw top waters.
  25. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08R6F739W?th=1 Be aware soft plastics will melt the clear trays very quickly, any kind not just elaztech.
