For Finesse rods, do you feel that added length gives you more sensitivity and hook setting power?
A longer rod will always have more leverage to set the hook, but with finesse applications/light wire hooks it's negligible. Can't comment on sensitivity, I've never tried two identical mfr actions/powers in different lengths.

Bladed jigs?
The tackle warehouse Evo Minimax has done well for me this year, great bait at $10, stock up if TW ever has another actual sale Spunk Shad is pretty much all I ever use as a trailer. The bladed jig/Spunk shad caught my current PB 5lb14oz so that will always have a special place, but definitely only stock up when DSG sells them half price. When the water is calm I do still prefer the weedless underspin swimbait. Probably should have weighed this one

So, I tried an A-rig and...
The TB mini rig isn't all that mini, I usually throw it on a 2oz swimbait rod. The micro is pretty effortless to throw on any medium heavy rod.

Seeking high end bait finesse setup rec’s
On the budget side of reels the new ark bfs avid casts a karashi like a champ and is on sale at TW for $80. No experience with the pop x stick but the cashion icon 7L is a hard bait bfs beast.

Seaguar Inventory
I'm a big fan of Invizx in 10+lb test but I haven't had good results using it as a BFS mainline. Abrasion resistance in the 6lb test was really bad compared to Tatsu or Daiwa Samurai.

Not tying line to baitcasting spool?
Holes or not I always do the same 2 wraps around the spool and finish with an arbor knot.

Been on a bit of an ultralight kick recently, some highlights from Saturday. One eyed kitty on an ultralight rod with a 1/28oz #12 ice fishing jig head was a heck of a fight.

GSM (Dobyns) Customer Service
Post gsm I've had to source rod tips from them and it was painless and took less than a week to receive new tip guides at no cost. Buddy also did a post gsm warranty on a Kaden and swapped to a different model via the warranty upgrade. He also had no issues and received the new rod in about a week.

Have you noticed a lot of these UV fishing gloves have this thick material for “grip” that severely compromises dexterity?
I cover up as much as possible but the face still needs sunscreen no matter what. Sun reflection off the water will burn you just as quick as direct exposure.

Split ring sizes?
Not every manufacturer uses the same hooks and hardware but you're probably good to go with a #3 split ring. That's what's on a lucky craft lc1.5

Let’s talk early spring top water
Popper, karashi, silent spook. Fuzzy Senko has also worked exceptionally well as a top water lol but that requires hanging your line over a tree branch.

How Fresh Do You Fish?
I run soft plastics until they won't stay on a hook. Old stuff catches just as good as new.

BFS line
I'm not a big braid to leader guy on casting but that might be worth looking into if you want a do it all setup. Or go down the rabbit hole and end up with 3 bfs combos, or more

BFS line
6lb daiwa samurai fluoro or 6lb maxima ultra green if I want to throw top waters.
