  1. @Smirak I removed the center hook and replaced the outsides with I believe 1/0 mustad jawlok 3x
  2. I have one in chrome converted to 2 hook for striper. Haven't thrown it much yet but had one huge blow up last spring. Its time will come. Looking forward to the native 2 hook kicknocker HD.
  3. @Jerkbait22 very similar action. First impression I feel like the 80 needs to be worked just a hair slower for the best action. It walks and darts beautifully but doesn't seem to have quite the same frantic pace of the original bfs size. I'm using a Dobyns champ 704cb and 10lb yo zuri hybrid today for what it's worth, maybe a slightly shorter rod and pure fluoro will be the ticket for super speed.
  4. Well they work, 4 striper so far this morning and as many missed blowups. Had a couple fully rainbow out of the water and miss it. Only thing so far I don't love is the megabass outbarb trebles. Pain in the butt the unhook by hand.
  5. @Smirak dang, I ordered that one from TW yesterday. We are a little spoiled in CA with the local warehouse.
  6. Starting to roll in, my buddy has another 3 waiting for me.
  7. Copper state 20% off, no code.
  8. Long leader on spinning, 25-30ft.
  9. Spool swaps. the Zillion has a ton of factory and aftermarket spools available.
  10. All dirty jigs products 25% off at TW through the 25th
  11. I have lost a few of these. It hurts but I'm not gonna stop fishing them.
  12. @Rockhopper I've even had success just casting past a grass edge and letting it sink on semi slack line.
  13. Pex8 gets my vote as well just a bummer it isn't available in bulk spools. You will need a lot of backing to fill a 3k
  14. first 10+ fish day of the year, caught em everywhere from less than a foot to 30+. Even seeing a few on beds already,
  15. I was out of cell service range all day but a buddy was able to scoop some up for me this morning
  16. Lol no, I had a collapsible pole I use for trout sometimes lazily left rigged with a couple powerbait eggs on the hook. Stuck it next to the spool in the garage and the plastic egg ate a hole through the spool canister. The plastic boxes BKK hooks come in have the same reactivity problem.
  17. @Bass Rutten those spool containers are highly reactive to soft plastics, I found that out the hard way mine has a little berkley powerbait egg shaped hole in it from some improper storage in the garage.
  18. @casts_by_fly I use a 5 wrap single pitzen, as long as it's properly lubed never had any issues.
  19. I had not purchased anything since before the tariff madness kicked off. Finally broke down and placed an order for a reel with Digitaka. Post SC ruling there are still tariffs and fees in place but the split works out to 10% which is effectively like paying local sales tax. Order shipped with FedEX, never any contact from them and it was delivered today without issue.
  20. Ordered Saturday, delivery Wednesday morning. Digitaka can't be beat.
  21. $150 for a moving bait rod, $300 for bottom contact. Casting reels these days maybe $200.
  22. New Loomis IMX-PRO rods for 2026. I think this technically falls under the Shimano umbrella Shimano North America FishingIMX-PRO Bass 2026The best place to buy Shimano gear for your fishing reels, and the soft goods and accessories to go along with them. From shirts, hoodies, hats, beanies, and even some lures we have all you want to dInteresting to see Loomis' first BFS rod in the additions.
  23. @Smirak @Munkin Karashi 80 is releasing this Sunday 3/15
