after all the yrs. of casting with a bc i read what the great rick clunn advocated and did what he said ... my backlashing has been greatly greatly reduced .... i use centrifugal, magnetic and dual bcs .... one of the best tips i've ever gotten .... good fishing ....

on the way home last week after an enjoyable day of fishing, i stopped by the local wal-mart to pick up some eagle claw 3/0 offset worm hooks .... nearby was the new abu garcia black max combo 6'6" med. rod with the reel ..... it felt great .... nothing to be ashamed of .... cost $55 ... with a warranty ...... the budget rods and reels have come a long long way from the day .... good fishing ...

when bank fishing, this is all i take with me with 2 rods.... 1 bc ... 1 spinning ... i like the KISS method and have a lot of confidence in plastics .... especially worms .... good fishing ...

you don't need to spend over 100 bucks for a nice rod ... that's a given ... still light, sensitive and strong ... if choose to ... that's ok with me .... good fishing ....

when fishing from the bank, rip rap facing a stout wind straight on or at an angle has been very productive .... the bite is on .... chances are good for a big one, too .... puts your bc to the test ... good fishing ...

texas has awesome fishing even in urban settings for the non boater ..... con .... crawling with people and will only get worse and you won't be the only guy on the lake ... other southeast settings offer more laid back rural settings with excellent fishing and you might be the only one on the lake .... each to his own .... good fishing ...
