  1. If you go heavier than 3/8 N trailer.. I'd jump up to the javelin... It's a great moving bait rod.. Not the most sensitive for bottom contact baits tho.. I use one for cranking and one for spinnerbaits/chatterbaits..
  2. I use snaps with all my crankbaits... Anything else is tied directly..
  3. I love my nrx plus 904c...i use it strictly for 4.8 Keitech swing fat impacts... It's the most sensitive rod in my hands out of all the rods I own... I feel every little tick and bite...
  4. My blackpack has 10 rod holders... One side is for moving baits.. Other side for bottom contact... Spinning setup and cranking rods on the 3rd side..
  5. Nrs chinook.. Or in the summer I'll wear a mustang elite 28 inflatable.. Both are really comfortable to wear all day long...
  6. I have many variations of high end shimano baitcasters... 30, 70, 100 and 150 spool sizes... If I didn't even look at the reel in using I don't think I've ever been worried about line capacity bass fishing...
  7. Striker Denali Insulated jacket N bibs for cooler temps... Mustang Callan jacket N bibs for summer... Invest in good rain gear.. Keeps you dry and not at home...
  8. Nice aresnal... I've sold off most of my p5s... Not a big fan of the 3 yr warranty any more...
  9. What rods are you using to throw these mini max baits... Can you still feel the blades thump?
  10. Expride b 610 med.. Or megabass p5 one ten stick...
  11. Yes I cant wait to get out.. Too much cold and ice this year so ice out will be mid April I'm guessing also...
  12. I use red all season long.. Works for me.. Pick any colour and if they bite they bite..
  13. Only the xbites I've found on par with my nrx plus...if I wasn't so scared it was gonna break every time I use it I'd have a few more... I've seen too many of my friends break theirs..
  14. If you can open it up and look at the internals.. They will probably be needing some attention..
  15. Xbites... Sensitivity is on par with nrx.. I would not go heavier than 3/8....ive used mine to throw 1/5 ned rigs no problem... I find that the 893 is more versitle tho.. You can easily throw moving baits with this rod too..
  16. 22 bantam casts so much better than 1st Gen... I hated the 1st Gen one but have 2 of the newer ones and rate them up there with my metaniuims..
  17. I've changed all my handles and drag stars to gomexus products...
  18. That's my favourite bladed jig rod... I'm not a fan of glass rods for cranking...
  19. Order straight from Japan..
  20. Megabass p5 xbites or nrx plus 893 is what I would use for 3/8 finesse jigs... 1/2 Oz I'd step up to nrx plus 873 or 894...a bit above your price range but you can find them used or on sale closer to your budget..
  21. They do not... I sold off all my champions once I got my hands on my 1st megabass orocchi...sensitivity was not even close in my hands... The only dobyns I still use are their graphite cranking rods (704cb, 705cb and 765cb)... A no go for bottom contact sensitivity for me..
  22. I buy a mix of new and old.. If they are in mint condition used for a good price I'll scoop them up..
  23. I use straight 50lb braid for chatterbaits and spinnerbaits..
  24. Just use cheap backing on your reels... Then you can save on the amount of line you will have to re spool...
  25. I like the edge boxes.. I have most of them.. The only ones I do not use are the ones for terminal tackle (I use the reg 3700s for my terminal tackle) and the crank bait specific boxes (I don't like the design of how the hold the crank baits.. I just use the regular 3700s and make my own compartments for cranks)..
