Tackle pictures cabin fever 2025
That's pretty much all my tackle... Hard baits and terminal tackle in the Plano edge boxes... Soft plastics on the right side... A few bags full of misc soft plastics in their original packaging... I still have a few boxes full of Keitech swimbaits and frogs still in their clam shells... The small plastic tray is my "day box" that I'll load with a few hard baits I may need for that day.. Just saves me from bringing entire Plano boxes.. I like to put my Keitechs in the clear 3700s and toss a few misc soft plastics packages in my black pack.. Been trying to minimize the amount of tackle I'll bring each trip.. But I still will bring anywhere from 6 to 12 rods with me, depending on what lake I'm fishing..

Current Lineup, anything you feel would be a good fit?
Javelin is my preferred P5 for moving baits....i have 2 that I'll use for spinnerbaits and for medium depth cranking...

Show off your Stuff
I'm using dobyns and some megabass p5s for my cranking rods right now, but I want to try the imx cbr rods eventually.... How do you like them?

Current Lineup, anything you feel would be a good fit?
The braillist is my frog rod.. It's a MH but it's got some good power and a nice tip... The only thing I ever have tied on it is a Keitech noisy flapper frog... If I ever had to replace it, I'd add another nrx 894c for frogging duties.. I hear good things about the 7'3xh...i haven't held one in my hands tho...

Great choice.. You can use it for frog, trig and punching duties too... Easiest place to find fish in the heat of summer.. Under the heaviest cover...

Current Lineup, anything you feel would be a good fit?
I'm the opposite.. I prefer longer rods over 7'3... Do you not fish heavy cover?... I don't see anything in your lineup that I would use in heavy pads or matted weeds... 894c or 904c would be a great addition to give you something with power to fish heavy cover... Or 854c if you prefer the shorter rods...

New Stella
No new Stella for 2025...if they do refresh it for 2026, shimano usually will release information on upcoming new models early January..

High-End Spinning Rod Addition
872s...i use mine for drop shot in deep or cover... 852s is for finesse baits...

Bates hundo 100mm handle options
They don't sell them any more...not the ones I want... Newer styles are much too fat fit my liking.. I usually order all my gomexus parts off aliexpress...

Daiwa are 8x5..Shimano 7x4

Bates hundo 100mm handle options
The older tpe knobs are so hard to find now... And they don't sell them separately any more.. I've had to purchase spinning reel setups just to get the colour knobs I liked..

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
This was from black Friday sale from a local tackle shop.. 50% off Keitech... I normally do a bulk buy each memorial day sale at tackle warehouse for my 4.8 swing fat impacts but with the current state of the Canadian dollar, won't be saving as much as previous years after shipping and customs charges..

Shimano core 51mg7 production update
My core 101 was the 1st high end baitcaster I ever bought... The newer Shimanos cast much better and have better braking systems now... Outside dial brakes was such a game changer to allow you to adjust brakes on the fly if wind picks up... It's still in my rotation due to sentimental values though and will probably be the one reel I'll never sell off..

Loomis 883 BJR (IMX, GLX, NRX+)
The 883c is my least favourite nrx plus (893c,894c,895c,873c,904c,872s,852s are the others I have)... I love throwing jackhammers and 1/2 Oz with trailer seems to over load it... It's now my spinnerbait rod... I have both versions of exprides 7'2 MH glass that I think is the perfect bladed jig rod... I'll even use my megabass P5 javelin for chatterbaits instead of the 883c now.. B4 I got it, I tried searching online for any feedback on it only to realize its not an nrx that many would recommend or rave about..

Can't decide on a jerkbait rod
Just picked up a Shimano expride b 6'10 medium... Haven't had chance to test it out until our water unfreezes... Was using a dobyns champion 705cb in the past and didn't think it was parabolic enough for jerkbaits...

The G.Loomis GLX and the NRX look like they're from 1994.
Fit and finish on nrx can be hit or miss.. For a high end rod, their craftsmanship and attention to detail is far behind megabass and shimano... But fish with one on your hand and you see why they are the gold standard that every manufacturer is measured against...

GLX 894 JWR
I have the nrx plus version.. It's my go to 1/2 Oz jig or t rigs rod... The tip is too stiff to use as a frog or swimbait... I think it's perfectly suited for bottom contact...

Jacket and bibs recommendation for fishing
Yes.. Same mustang.. Well made quality... 100% waterproof... I've fished hours in pouring rain and it kept me bone dry... It's my 1st season with them so will have to see how well it will last over time... They go on sale in the spring and fall so wait until then to get 30% off msrp...
