I rarely use my paddle but did upgrade to a nicer wilderness systems apex.. Night and day difference VS the cheap pelican one I had.. Super light.. Zero flex.. And I can actually move my autopilot if I need too.. And it looks as good as it feels.. Who doesn't love carbon fibre.. I sure do..

I think the op is referring to the sound a Shimano DC reel makes when you cast it.. It's a distinctive whine that you either hate or like.. I can't stand it lol...

8 to 12 hrs on the water on my kayak.. I have to drive minimum 1hr to the nearest decent lake to fish and usually only get to fish weekends so I try to make the most out of each trip... 2.5 hr drive 1 way is my maximum travel distance for a day trip...

If this rod weren't so heavy and look like a broomstick.. I would give it a try...

I'll bring 4 or 5 rods only... I hate leaving my gear lying on the sides of the boat so I bring an engel cooler with 4 rod holders... Very minimal gear I'll bring VS fishing off my autopilot...

What is your budget... Way too many options.. Any 7'2 MH rod in any brand would work..

Gloomis.. Shimano.. Megabass.. If I had to pick only one... Gloomis because they have the best warranty of the 3...

I use 852 for Shaky head/finesse plastics... 872 for drop shot...

These don't last very long... I have a set that I don't use any more... I think they may have lasted one hr before the battery died... I have the larger elite ones.. For what they cost I was disappointed... My setup now was a fraction of the price I paid to get a set of guardian angel lights shipped to Canada..

No.. I put them in 3700s..n restock as needed... Easier to transport this way for me..

Yes.. Pretty important to keep rods and reels free from scratches.. Keeps resell value high when I need to upgrade... I fish alot but do care for my gear... Rod sleeves and reel covers on them during transport...

I installed button style led nav lights.. For my flag pole I wrapped a waterproof usb led strip from Amazon and installed a USB port to power them off a 18ah dakota... I didn't like the options that were for sale and wanted a really bright 360 white light... So did some research and built my own for less than 50 bucks... Everything is wired to automotive toggle switches near my seat..

I had another rescue where I was launching... And a guy launched his 17' alumacraft.. But his tie rope was not tied to his boat so he was left holding the rope as we both watched the boat float away... He had to jump into the back of my kayak for a lift to get his boat back lol.. I wished I had remembered to snap a pic of that boat slipping away..

Yes I have a motorized kayak... Towing on the water is much easier than it looks... They guy was stranded for like an hour in the area I was fishing... He was trying to paddle back to his dock before I noticed that he was paddling and not fishing.. That's when I finally went over to ask if he was ok... He didn't think I was going to be able to tow him back but I did... His neighbours were pretty surprised too when we got close to his property...

Spring weather has been terrible.. Still too cold and windy to even get out for some zone 20 bass... Pike and walleye are open in the next few weeks at least.. That will hold me until bass opens in June...

Megabass 3yr warranty has stopped me from owning any more p5s... I'm ok with paying the premium for nrx plus and their limited lifetime warranty.. I'll be fishing for the next decade still so if I'm able to, I'll enjoy using high end gear while I'm at it and have peace of mind if I actually break one...

I've rescued and towed a few boats back to their docks in my autopilot... If I see anyone that looks like they could be in trouble.. I'll usually holler at them to make sure they are ok...
