Plano Edge or other ideas
I like the edge boxes.. I have most of them.. The only ones I do not use are the ones for terminal tackle (I use the reg 3700s for my terminal tackle) and the crank bait specific boxes (I don't like the design of how the hold the crank baits.. I just use the regular 3700s and make my own compartments for cranks)..

Anyone install Livescope to an Old Town Autopilot?
Most of the builds I've seen... The black box is mounted in the compartment under the seat or in a crate in the back.....there aren't too many other options... Hull storage is at a bare minimum on the autopilots.. I have a railblaza hexx transducer mount I will be using once I finally pull the trigger and add the lvs34.. I was waiting for mega live 2 to finally appear but since it's not compatible with my helix 9...garmin is the better option..

Watching electronics vs. fishing
If it's a new lake, yes I'll pay closer attention to electronics to help eliminate dead water....

Bass Fishing Podcasts
The Tackle Shop is my favourite podcast... And most of the rest that focus on kayak fishing get my attention..

Old town sportsman 120 vs something else
I added a hitch and use the Yakima long arm bed extender... Also built a rolling cart to get it in and out of my garage easily...

Are you currently using any Temu rods or reels?
Never... I enjoy using nicer tools... Makes my fishing experience better... Can't take my money with me when my time is up...

Sat In My First "Sparkly" Boat Last Weekend...
If I could afford one, I'd be in a 2075 Lund pro v bass... They definitely have their purpose when you enjoy chasing bass

How technique specific are your rods
Very specific... Much quicker to carry multiple setups to avoid retying on the water.. Just easier to pick up another rod...

That time of year
My reels are all serviced and ready to go back onto my rods... Still need to reseal all the cork with fresh coat of U40... Still 2 months before our ice all melts tho...

My 2024 bait of the year
My forever bait of the year will always be a 4.8 Keitech swing fat impact... If I need a bite, it's my number 1 confidence bait..

Old town sportsman 120 vs something else
My autopilot 120 is the only kayak I've ever been on... I had zero interest in paddling or pedaling much so that made my choice easy... IMO it's the best fishing kayak on the market for my needs... Fishing with spot lock and a motor is a game changer.... It's been 2 full seasons car topping it... I fish 2 to 3 times per week in the spring to fall seasons.. Best decision I've ever made... I fish to relax, not exercise..

bladed jig Micro Trailer?
Question.. Are you supposed to feel the blades thump like a regular bladed jig?... I tried the micro once and never again because I could not feel any vibration of the blades..

Sunline Xplasma Asegai Braided Line Reviews
Worst sunline braid... Used once N took it off immediately... Didn't like that it felt too stiff.. Like thread coated in plastic..... I'll stick to Sx1 for spinning and fx2 for baitcaster...

Help iron out my loadout
No.. I've never tried the 854 b4.. Probably will have a stiffer tip being much shorter... 852s is the only shorter rod in my nrx lineup..
-
Help iron out my loadout
894 is the best 1/2 jig rod in the nrx lineup... Mine always has a jig tied on it... Heavy cover no problem...
-
Help iron out my loadout
16x13 might not be wide enough to fit 4 holders on the hinge side?... My holders are spaced just far enough so that my reels do not touch...

The Greatest Danger a Paddler Faces
I keep a mini air horn near my seat at all times... If they don't see me.. I'll make sure they hear me.. But I'm pretty vigilant when boats are near me and my head is always on a swivel...

Greetings from Ontario, Canada
Yes.. Lower Rideau River is one of my favourite places.. I have not taken my kayak out there yet but plan on doing it this season.. My fishing partner just moved out to Ottawa so I'll be planning a few trips further east..
