This drives me crazy.
I wanted to see what "California 420” looks like and across all brands California 420 is Green Pumpkin w/ red flake.

This drives me crazy.
That's why I've started referring to colors by they're CMYK values. Just string four numbers together and everyone can assume they come in the CMYK order. "Wow, that's a beautiful 77,0,6,16 bracelet you have!" It's specific, concise, and accurate. No longer will we have to wonder if the oranges on the grocery list are fruit, or a color!

Beetle Spin Style Baits
I bumped into this today and thought about you. I don't have any experience with it. https://bassdope.com/products/wings-jig-head-attachement

The really skinny drop-shot weights ❓
That is a fun site.

Eagle Claw Trokar
The Trokar hooks I've used I've liked. It's the hook used in all the Core Tackle. However, I fish on the light/finesse side of things and my buddies all give me s#$& about my hook sets.

Beetle Spin Style Baits
Mulefishing.com has some nice ones. If you look for "panfish spinners" you'll find loads. It's been about a year, but I bought a few from fishandsave.com that were $0.25 each. The jig and grub that came on the spinner arm were absolute crap but I just wanted the spinner arms anyway. Northland tackle has mimic minnows on spinner arms that are a little bigger. Another thing to look into would be underspins. There are a few smaller light hook underspins that are sold as crappie baits but catch a ton of SMB. Look at the Northland Thumper jig and the Crappie Magnet Finspin.

The latest sale thread
I don't know many professional bass fishermen by name. But, that Share Lunker debacle made Milliken hard to forget. It sure makes me scratch my head. He didn't have a valid license in August when he caught the fish and said that it slipped his mind. That's plausible -- he travels widely and has licenses from all of those places. But, what gets me is that he lives outside of Houston. That's his home state he didn't have a license in. Are we to believe that Milliken hadn't fished in Texas at all between March 1st when the fishing year began and mid October when he caught that giant fish? Or, was he fishing without a license for 7 months? Hmmmmm

I like the Vega Frog, the speed wake, the Flush soft Jerk, the glitch drop shot and their Shakey head soft plastics. Really, the part I like the least about 6th sense is Ben Milliken.

Top Water lures for spinning setups
Live Target makes some small frogs that are great on spinning rods. Strike king Bitsy Dawg (has been on clearance at SW) OG floating Rapala Rebel - pretty much everything but I'm partial to the Pop-R

Who here is using Redline hooks?
I use their light wire finesse neko/dropshot hook. It's one of the few available in a 6. The fused eye is incredibly nice for drop shots because if my hook gets screwed up fighting a fish it's way more likely that I can get it straightened out.

Second guessing a rod purchase, opinions sought
I bought a St. Croix muskie rod to use for muskie fishing, XL glides and cranks. It's my first and probably only muskie rod and it'll end up pressed into service whenever I need a broomstick. Here are the spec: St. Croix Legend Tournament Musky Casting Rod Split Cork 8'3" Heavy Lipstick II | LMTSC83HMF Pieces: 1 | Length: 8’3” | Power: Heavy | Action: Moderate Fast | Line Weight (lb): 65-80 | Lure Weight (oz): 3/4 - 4oz. | Handle: 4 | Technique: Lipstick II | MPN: LMTSC83HMF Should I keep it? It was 50% off.

Okuma spinning reel spare spools?
I have an Okuma Waveoff 2500 that I would like a second spool for. There wasn't an option to purchase one when I purchased the reel directly from Okuma. Are Okuma spools interchangeable? How do you find a matching spool?

I reverted back to rookie status yesterday. hahah..and broke a rod even!!
Yep, it was stupid.

No fishing for awhile
So it's BS. Show me a valid newspaper article. What you said doesn't pass the smell test. Fire fighters aren't allowed to use engines? Have you ever been on a fire line? It's bulldozers and 2500 Super Duties as far as the eye can see. Ground crews are required to have an Indian guide? Give me a break! That's complete absurdity and you should know better than to believe it.

No fishing for awhile
Got a source on that rumor? Smells fake. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHGAHAHAH.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. YOU'RE SOOOOOOOO FUNNY!!!!!

I reverted back to rookie status yesterday. hahah..and broke a rod even!!
Yesterday, I had a 3700 full of hard baits sit out in the rain. I drained them off and then popped them in the oven on warm to dry. I set a timer, but when the timer went off I was dealing with kids and didn't get to them for another 20 minutes. They're all deformed. 15ish cranks and jerks with deformed plastic and popped seals. It's my fault. I've done the oven trick before but I guess I got lucky. FML.

No fishing for awhile
Fire season sucks. Sorry you have to deal with that.

American legacy trade ins
Ummm, that's how trade-ins work? If I trade in a vehicle, I won't make as much as if I sell it private party. But, I don't have to deal with finding a buyer, detailing it, and fixing all the little things wrong. True, there isn't much needed maintenance, but there also isn't as large a resale market. ALF has to plan on sitting on a rod for years if need be.

What do you do with rigged soft plastics?
I love the similarities and differences between everyone. Elaztech sure complicates things. I find myself shying away from it more and more.
-
What do you do with rigged soft plastics?
I have a good storage solution for unused soft plastics, but once they've been rigged it turns into a cluster.

Zebco 33
Junior set his brand new Zebco 33 down at the waters edge where the waves promptly lapped so much sand inside it that it was completely frozen. I've stripped and cleaned the front assembly down to the spindle, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the rear cover off. I see the little dedents on the bottom, but the seam is pretty tight and doesn't yield much to a screwdriver and I'm afraid putting more force in will deform it permanently. What is the correct way to remove the rear cover?

Does anyone know who manufactures SPRO's reels? The spinning reel has a Seviin look to it. Is it the same company?
