  1. After i red a short biography about him he actually did alot more for the sport than we think.
  2. Go with your gut feeling, it is the only way to catch a fish.
  3. Also as JT said on my hummingbird it shows as a shaded fuzzy line.
  4. I know a guy that has a 5 horse briggs and stratton on his 18 foot boat as a kicker motor and is great for trolling so it should push your jon boat good.
  5. Finesse tactics such as drop shotting and also try a Natural Colored tube on offshore structure.
  6. I would profer a regular seat because you can always lean on the back of the seat.
  7. If you do not have a fishfinder use a map and find likely spots then use crankbaits that dive to each different depth and when you catch them on a 8ft. diving crankbait they are probably holding at 9 feet.
  8. Try Cabela's they have a good amount of good priced props for every boat.
  9. Amazon.com has a great selection of books
  10. Creature bait and try a lipless crankbait along those coontail.
  11. I have heard that it is one of the best aluminium boats for rough water.
  12. They are great. I like the graphics that you chose.
  13. I have a all-terrain minn kota and it is great. Minn kota is the best trolling motors ever.
  14. The male does not eat during the spawn but is the official guardian of the nest and he will not eat the bait but he will scare it, ****** it and spit it out or pick it up and move it. I would try a creature bait.
  15. I live in Washington state and the lakes i fish are perticulary clean, except for outboard exhaust, Most of the lakes i fish have a huge amount of speeders and tubers, Although there is on lake that one side is polluted and green and the other side is gray. No fish in the green part but a vast amount in the gray water. I to am not a tree hugger but i do believe in keeping our environment clean and conservation. I am currently working with my class, which is an enrichment, called Science Inquiry. We study pollution in streams and lakes and also how it effects plant and animal life. Just two weeks ago we planted trees on the shore of a creek which salmon and other fish (bass) to migrate to spawning areas from the puget sound and a nice bass fishing lake Black Lake which is 700 acres. I am in the 7th grade and i love science. I would say that our government from my standpoint has not done a good enough job at keeping our environment clean. I still see every day people draining anti-freeze in their drive way and having dog poo just sit there and pollute our waters. The only thing besides encouraging schools to have a science inquiry class and having spray painted words below drains does not cut it. If my local government cared so much abou our environment they would do a lot more than just this. At least in my local area. Tight lines, Nick
  16. I have done this on my jon boat's 1967 rusted out trailer. At home depot or Lowes or any home improvement store their is a spray on primer which you can even apply to light rust. First scrape it down and take the old paint off or rust. Then dissassembale all the nuts and bolts and paint each piece seperately. I would go with Rust-o-leum paint they have nice colors are tottaly outdoor proof and have a great price. I would also buy some outdoor gloss finish to look cool but the paint that i said to buy has glossy paint. Do not use an aerosol can use the good ol brush.
  17. I have fished a gravel pit pond that was around 30 feet in western washington and you drop a jig ar a worm, creature bait and let it deflect of the branches working it through everything. I dont use a jigging spoon but you can catch bass on those if they are relating to the outside of the tree.
  18. I am 13 ;D
  19. i love the technique and you can do it up to 40 feet if you get a long enough rod and put enough umph into it.
  20. I have fished in one before and they are awesome for any kind of small lake, especially if it has a 5 horde on the back.
  21. I have heard that Dale hollow in Tenn. and lake champlain are good.
  22. I used to live on a lake with a bat population, People sometimes got scared of them but since i lived there i was used to having bats fly around while i fish.
  23. Rapala shad rap and a Rebel Wee R

I wanted the eagles but they could have beat them if they would have stuck to their short pass plays and guarded the run a little bit more. same score as last year.
