  3. CREATURE BAITS!!!!!!
  4. I fish natural lakes so ours might be easier to read than a resevoirs. On my Big fishing adventures with my 2 buddies when we hit the big lakes it is my job to do the map reading. First i want to think of the seasons: pre-spawn, spawn, postspawn etc. Then i pick out the most obvious places for them to be such as secondary points, spawning flats. Then i try and find the small isolated spots that other anglers miss. sometimes it could be right next door to the obvious spots In those spots i look first for irregular contour lines then weeds and finally visible cover. Bass in my hometown lakes are usually in the weeds. Remember this FOOD+OXYGEN+COVER=BASS ;D
  5. I have Cabin fever only gone fishing 3 times this winter, next weekend i am going to the Chehailis river Sturgeon fishing. 3 people are going 2 are going sturgeon fishing and i am going bass fishing, YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ;D I always practice pitching in my living room whic has a vaulted ceiling
  6. Rat-L-trap and suspending jerkbaits.
  7. I guess this is a contraversial topic?
  8. Spinnerbaits and creature baits. I think the creature baits scare the small fish so the big fish try to couragess and kill the creature bait. LOL
  9. Everstart Batteries are good, also if you have a local NAPA or a auto parts store they usually have good quality batteries.
  10. It shows that OLN respects you glenn.
  11. I think saltwater fish are more tasty and hearty while feshwater fish are good for a small quick meal. I eat freshwater trout but i only have about one serving of saltwater fish a month.
  12. Anymore crazy ideas for a novelty lure?
  13. For some reason i was reading an artical on some website and it said something abou javelin boats and they are a fairly good boat compared to some other smaller brands of boats.
  14. I had a huge very informational post on this but when i tried to bold the letters i erased it all. But here it is in a nutshell. Compressional waves: can be heard, felt but not seen, they compress the media they travel through in distinct patterns where some waves are compressed and some are spread out. Humans hear this through the constantly vibrating eardrum and other vibrating instruments in the ear. Transverse waves: can only be seen, They are one wave with the same pattern all the way through, They are either reflected or absorbed. The sonar wave is a transverse wave which is invisible and it gets reflected. But it does not displace any media or material in which it travels through which means it it can not be felt by a bass's lateral line and also cannot be heard or felt by any living being. This states with simple science that a bass cannot hear or feel a sonar wave which in return means that it cannot spook the fish. thank you
  15. I went to a show and bought some cheap homemade baits for $0.99 a bag and melted them together with 2 spoons and a lighter it totally worked but looked a little messy. i made a creature bait by melting ribbontail worms tail and melting 4 of them to a crawdad. it looked hilarious.
  16. Sometimes it wont give you the score because you didnt make it in to the last day.
  17. Get a basshunter boat from bass pro shops. they are $300 to $400 and are 9 to 10 feet long. they are really stable and seat 2people and gear.
  18. I have nothing to say because i can't afford them ;D LOL
  19. That realy gets me mad when people do that > unless its like 2 or 3 dinks becuase we have too many smaller fish in our local lakes. one time i saw this guy take home a couple of 3 pounders and i was ticked for the rest of the day and didnt get a single bite.
  20. I have onl gotten 1 keeper fish on a senko. i would rather fish with a creature bait or ribbontail worm, i live up north and senkos are supposed to work in cold water but really i dont think so.
  21. Popper: Rebel Pop'r Frog: Scum frog Soft plastic: any kind of Creature bait spinnerbait: Renagade and Wal-mart $1 spinnerbaits, there cheap both made by Wal-mart associates and actually catch fish better than a $5 booyah spinnerbait.
  22. Find your local marine dealers and leave a card with them of what you want. if they ever come across one they will call you. That is how i got my electric start 10hp mercury.
  23. I just got done reading Bass Wars by Nick Taylor and it was a great book. It featured the life of Bass pros Rick clunn, Randy blaukat, Randy moseley and danny corriea. Not to say almost all the greatest anglers were in it. It wass written in 1988 so the bait that were new are now old timers. Back then clunn fished with a prototype Skirt on his spinnerbait it was a translucent skirt newly developed and being tested. today its the normal. It is great to read books about the good ol boys back in the days. If anybody wants one it is on amazon.com If anybody knows of any other good bass books post em here.
  24. Change the hooks to red hooks that are a good brand then use pliers and bend the rond piece of metal that comes out of the bait that you tie you knot on bend it little by little until it runs true if it didnt already.
  25. Good Job Glenn!!!! ;D
