Never seen an off set hook break in middle of the straight section! I prefer hooks that are forged ( flattened ) at the hook gap. Gamakatsu round bend off set hook isn’t forged it round wire. Flawed hook. Tom

The latest Covid contagious period is about 5 days I was told but the coughing lasts a few weeks until you feel somewhat normal. The stress you put yourself through worrying runs down your stamina so take care of yourself so can be with Lynn. You are both in our prayers🙏🏻 Tom & Kay

The more time using the same jig pays off in the most important factor in jig fishing….strike detection. Knowing the jigs idiosyncrasies rate of fall and feel gives intuition when a bass has the jig in their mouth. Find a jig you like with premium sharp hook and use it all the be time. Tom

I was a gymnasts as a youth with exceptional balance and aware of my proprioception, knew where I was. I feel off a 8’ ladder last year and was able to turn 180 degrees while falling backwards to land on my chest in lieu of my head saving more severe impact. I fell because of being birds flew into my face and stepped back. Getting old and loosing balance is part of aging, Tom

Back before Gamakatsu invaded our shores we lived with battery operated hook hones and fine flat files to sharpen every hook we used. Today we have excellent sharp hooks by Gamakatsu, Owner and Tokar plus others. I don’t know if an over the counter spinner bait that uses sharp Japanese hooks but someone makes them. It always a good practice to check hook points before tying the hook or on and while fishing. Tom

The Delta is a tidal fishery making timing critical. Juvenile bass and adult size usually don’t mix because they are a prey source. Lots of juveniles indicated a good recruitment year class which is good. The Delta the bigger bass target jigs that look like crawdads and juvenile bass avoid crawdads. Tom

Casting 40-50 yards has been normal distance where I bass because do pressured the bass shut if you get too close during daylight. Longer spinning rods makes it easier to make longer cast with light weight lures. FFS is new but targeting suspended isn’t. Tom
