A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Got out today from 7am-11:30 am. It was a pretty weird day. I ended up with 11 fish but six different specieds. I caught 3 LM's, 2 smallies, 2 pickeral, 2 Crappie, 1 yellow perch and 1 white perch. I don't think I've ever caught 6 different species in the same day before. I've also never caught a white perch or a Crappie this big before. Here's the white perch Here's the Crappie And here's one of the LM's I caught. They were all about this size

How long does it take you to get ready?
I voted 2-3 hours. Part of the fun of fishing for me is the planning. If I know I'm going out for a full day on Thursday, I spend about 2-3 hours time on mon-wed getting ready. Checking rods, researching weather, looking at the lake map and reviewing my old fishing logs, selecting my starting baits and re-organizing my tackle. Now if I'm just heading down to the lake to fish for a couple of hours at night then it takes about 10 minutes to grab rods and leave.

What are your fishing weaknesses?
I struggle with shakey heads and the drop shot. I just always give up on them to soon I think. Really every year I develop strength in new area and add it to my bag of tricks. I think my greatest weakness is wanting to be good at everything all at once. I have to realize that it takes time to learn a new technique. Last year and this year I have been working on Jigs and Jerkbaits. So far I have had real success.

How much does CONFIDENCE really matter to you?
Confidence is very important to me. As others have stated confidence is gained through experiance and knowledge. However confidence for me is looking at a situation, analyzing the situation and picking the correct tool. I have to have confidence in this tool even if it's not something I usually like to fish. For example just today I was out and the conditions were right for a lip-less crank bite. I have just never done well with these baits. However I knew that conditions were right for this bait and had the confidence to fish it even if it had not worked for me in the past. I ended up having a great day and slaying them on this bait.

A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Got out today. Weather was nasty 49 degres, rainy and windy, with the water at 63. THe fish actually felt warm when you pulled them out. Had a great day though. I caught 14 bass, 5 pickeral and 10 perch. The perch were huge. I kept thinking they were bass. My buddy did well also but I can't remember his numbers. If you can stand the cold the fishing seems to be pretty good right now. Today was the first day I've ever really gotten on a good lipless crank bite.

Curado. VS Energy.
Don't have an energy so I can't compare. I do have a Curado and it is really a great reel. It most comfortable reel I have ever fished.

I highly doubt there is anything of any size in this lake. It's on my companies property and you can only fish it on SUnday's if you work there. It gets no pressure and is overstocked with little fish. Me and one other person caught over 80 fish in a couple of hours. All of them were this size. I take little kids and friends there to go fishing since it's a great place to get them hooked.

A Stud or Numbers?
#2 The trips I remember the most are the ones on which I've caught my largest fish. A 9.8# fish up here in New Hampshire would make my day. Especially since my largest so far is 7.1 lbs. I wouldn't care if I caught anything else all day.

Glen Lake in Goffstown NH. Anyone fish it?
Yeah it's got a really nice launch

St. Croix???
I fish the Triumph, mojo and premier as well as other higher end St Croix rods. I think they are a great deal for the price. I actually prefer the premier over the mojo, even though it's the same blank. The Mojo seems to feel more tip heavy. Either way you are getting a nice rod

Glen Lake in Goffstown NH. Anyone fish it?
only went once, didn't have any luck at all. But it could have just been a bad day. I think they have been having problems with water levels and fluctuation lately on the dams. This may really effect the fishing. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Looks like alot of us have been out in this nice weather. is anyone seeing the bass locked onto beds yet? I can find beds everywhere but the fish don't seem to be up on them yet. Most of my hits are coming a few feet away from the beds at a deeper drop off edge. I thought with this warm up the fish would be bedding by now.

fishfinder power problem
Cause I only have one battery right now

fishfinder power problem
Cool. My next question then is should I keep the two batteries seperate? or parallell them? Or does it even matter. As you can tell I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to this electrical stuff

fishfinder power problem
Cause I think I don't have enough power out of one battery to keep the trolling motor and fishfinders running. I could be wrong, but I can't think of any other reason that they would power up fine and then shut off. I'm hoping someone else who knows more about this stuff will be able to help me figure it out

fishfinder power problem
I recently purchased 2 new hummingbird fishfinders for my boat. I can't remember the model numbers. One is a basic grayscale and the other is color and has gps plotting and is navionics capable. Anyways after hooking them up i have problems getting them to stay on. They turn on and then after a few minutes turn off. Checked the wiring and there is no loose connection. I think it's the fact that I'm trying to run both fishfinders and my trolling motor on the same battery and it's not enough power. What's weird is when I power up my gas motor to head to another spot then I can turn the fishfinders on for a few more minutes. The gas motor is hooked up to the same battery if that helps. I think I just need a second battery, but if anyone has any experiance with a situation like this it would be appreciated. Thanks

A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Went out with Pain today and had an awesome day. 41 Bass with a multiple fish over 3 lbs. Caught them on everything from jigs to jerk baits. At 3 different times we doubled up and each had a fish on. The conditions changed and we managed to adapt and keep on the fish. Here are a couple of random pics from the day

A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Sounds like a good day Jay. Went out Thursday and caught 18 pickeral and one bass. The winds were crazy, over 19mph. I found a bunch of beds shallow in different parts of the lake but could not find a single bass on one of them. I don't think the wind would have pulled them off since most of the beds were protected. I really couldn't figure out where the bass were at.
