  1. Wait a second. Do you mean that smiley for real or is it pompous ;D.
  2. You boys better watch out the 4 or 6th Bud Lite made me lob my attack at Flippin.
  3. Have you actually fished them? :-? As I remember they were introduced about the time your fishing in Ohio was dieing down. Imo, there is little difference if any between the design of the big worms produce by Zoom, Berkley, Net Bait(my favorite). Like I said I haven't fished the Anaconda so I can't say they are wold beaters, but I do think I can say that they are the only unique 10" worm on the market b/c of the tail design. At least fish it before coming on here with opinions that they aren't better than something esle.
  4. Fine the handle is cool
  5. I haven't fished it yet, but the tail design is much more aggressive and looks to me like it would move a ton more water. Probably not better in every situation, but hard to imagine that it wouldn't be in a lot of applications.
  6. A little much for me.
  7. I love the STX, but the SX is such a great reel I'm not even sure the STX is worth another 30 bucks. Best reason I can come up with is if you just really like silver better than black.
  8. I caught my PB on a Bass Magic's last year. Fourbizz is going to make fun of me forever. To the guys that are having trouble keeping the bait up on the hook. If you are going to use a weighted hook, but not one of the screw on types it is pretty much mandatory that you retie after every single fish. What you have to do is put the point throgh the nose and out the bottom just like you normally would, but stop b4 the weight gets to the nose. Then back the hook out of the bait and put the eye of the hook through the hole you created in the bottom and out the nose. Then tie the hook to your mainline. Then embed the hook point into the bait however you normally would. If you are rigging it just like you would a plastic worm or fluke the hook weight is tearing too big of a hole in the baits nose. Obviously the first time you rig one each day you will have to begin with a hook not attached to a line.
  9. They better be better b/c you are going to have to shell out another 70 bucks.
  10. I'm always amazed at how many people struggle casting these great reels. A ton of very credible people on here always say it so it must be a real issue for some people. They all have more talent than me, but I have never been able to figure out how they were having difficulties. I'm glad you like it. Imo, when compared with the Shimano Curados and lower the Revo's SX and STX blow them out of the water. Can't speak for Shimano's above the Curado level though.

    Good job, Macey.
  12. Gotcha. Thought maybe you were at one of the big boys. If you were somewhere over fished you better not be opening your mouth about a 13lber.
  13. I believe that is the right decision, but don't fault people that do donate. Very nice fish. Where were you fishing?
  14. Wow, nice fish. Sharelunker?
  15. Congratulations and good luck.
  16. Wow the 186 is more impressive than the 1000.
  17. I have never fished a tournament so don't take this as a tournament guy trying to justify this action. There is a difference between asking and demanding. You have just as much right to the water and can choose to do as you wish. However, I have no problem with someone asking me this. If I was on a large lake that I fished often I would in most circumstances give up the spot. They are fishing for money and I know the lake so should have other spots. Plus, I will be back next week most likely. However, if I'm on a lake I rarely fish. I'm going to sit there and enjoy my time on this lake I rarely get a shot at. The tournament angler needs to be prepared to accept either answer graciously.
  18. Sorry, but the what are you talking about, and just let it go comment shows a pretty clear intent in my book. They could of easily been hoping nobody saw, noticed or had the balls to say something. I to doubt they did it on purpose. My point is if they were totally honest up front there would be less doubters. Why give anyone an excuse. I've always thought these guys should have the record, but now learning this and the 1/2 truth about finding the fish makes me question it.
  19. I have looked everywher for that story and can't find it. I know it was written cause I can almost see the article in my head, but it must of been about another fish b/c I can't find it anywhere associated with Dottie. I should of just kept my mouth shut. I still don't understand why not just be on the up and up about everything from the beginning. It would lead to a lot less doubting.
  20. Interesting Matt. Thanks for sharing. I've been trying to give these guys the benefit of the doubt, but its becoming harder and harder to be on their side. It was wrong to try and pretend the fish wasn't foul hooked even for a second if it was, it was wrong to allow the documentary to air saying they found the fish. Plus, I'm like 99% sure that I read an account of this story saying that they found dottie, backed way off and cast a swimbait at her. Dottie didn't move for ever and they just sat there doing everything they could to not move. And then finally they saw Dottie move to the bait, thought she took it and set the hook only to find out they had foul hooked her. Have you ever heard anything like this Matt? I'm almost certain of it. These guys accomplished a great thing. I don't understan a need for all the shadiness.
  21. I like the idea for the simple reason that it has a very legitimate shot at bringing more people to the sport. It might stink for the one guy whos spot she took, but in the long run if it brings more people to our sport that guy will be much better off.
  22. I called you a dirty name.
  23. I just recently got a Canon Rebel XSI and love it. I would suggest that you take a look at Cannon's as well just for an honest comparision. Noway to go, but Nikon or Canon imo. The Canon has more megapixels than the Nikon, but as Ronnie said its much more about the lenses. Both cameras will be able to take much better pictures than you can. If you have a pretty good grasp of how far away your subjects will be I strongly reccomend skipping the kit lenses and upgrading to a better lense. If you aren't certain at this point or won't have available cash to buy another lense fi you find yourself needing another just go with the kit. I purchased my camera at Beach Camera online. If you haven't already you should check the site out. You can save a ton of money purchasing online. Even if you don't buy from them the website is a great source of info and reviews. I was able to buy just the camera body, an accesory kit and a much nicer lense than is included with the kits for only a couple hundred more. When I bought I liked the Canon's a little better, but the main decision came down to the fact that my Dad and his friend both had higher end Canon's so I could try their lenses before purchasing new ones. Lenses can cost some serious bucks. If you already know someone with a Nikon or Canon that is seriously into it and has multiple high quality lenses you might want to strongly consider going with that brand. You won't go wrong with a Canon or Nikon.
