Do not put the hammer down right off. You need to let your motor warm up before dropping the hammer. Failing to do so will result in cold seize and be an expensive fix. If you have a temp gauge you need to let your motor get up to 90 or more before getting on plane, and then about 110-115 before dropping the hammer. No temp gauge you probably need to let the boat idle 5-8 minutes before getting on plane and the 3-5 minutes before dropping the hammer. Both figures are probably a little long, but I would rather be safe than sorry especially on your last trip on the year. Don't forget this is everytime you start up the engine not just the first time.

No. I mean the other side of the fish. I don't remember anything being wrong with the fin so it probably has something to do with how I'm holding the fish. There is some water dripping of it if thats what you are looking at.

I can't believe so many people picked a spook. I've had personal experience with both, and the Sammy is at least 374 times easier to walk. Plus, I caught only one fish with the spook I had. Being unable to get the spook to produce I broke down and bought a Sammy. This thing is now beat to he11. Teeth marks all over it.

Yes a bass will eat anything it must to survive. Those spiky fins prevent it being the preferred meal obvioulsy.

Very nice! I love how most are predominatly green or have green in them. One question though. In the past when I have cut zip ties they are very sharp or pointy on the end. I've cut myself numerous times not being careful around cut zip ties. Do you do anything to dull the ends?
