  1. Where can I watch this show? What is it called? I am very interested. Andy
  2. Thank you. first link works, second doesn't.
  3. I am looking for an online schematic to the Revo SX, but any revo model will probably do. I have seen one before and can't find it again. Andy
  4. I was going to buy a whole set of sizes, but did not know what guide style to get. BYAG or BVLAG. The problem has since been fixed. I called Darrin from AMTAK after he posted on my RB.org thread. I asked about the difference between duralite and nanolite. He offered to send me some of the larger sizes in the Ring-lock nanolite a-frame, letting me buy smaller sizes. He was very nice to talk to and took plenty of time to explain his guides to me. Now I just need to decide on the RX8 or RX7 822.5 blank.
  5. As a general rule when building bass spinning rods is it preferred to use standard or high frame spinning guides. On a RX7 or RX8 822.5 I was thinking using Alconite guides. Should I use BYAG high frame spinning guides or BLVAG spinning guides? I was going to start with a 25, 16, 8(adjusting sizes as needed) finishing the rod with size 5 or 6 fly guides
  6. http://rodbuilding_tutorials.webs.com/Grip%20&%20Handle%20Tutorials/Split%20Your%20Grip.pdf Personally I would not use nail polish on that large of an area. If you plan on doing this to more than one rod get some proper finish and a spool of thread.. I have done my 2 extremes and my Avid. I had to wrap and finish the extremes, but was able to get all the epoxy off the Avid perfectly and I did not finish it.You do not need to finish the split area if the blank looks good. I still had to wrap and finish where the foregrip was on all 3.
  7. I use them and really like them. I have not lost a single bait or fish all of last year. But at the same time I am currently looking for some Berkely cross-locks, Owner Cultivas or the P-line snap to replace the speed clips. Remove the split rings and clip directly to the baits eyelet and they will not affect the action of the bait.
  8. New episodes are playing now.
  9. Birchwood Casey Tru-Oil which is available at WalMart in the gun section.
  10. I fill my reel up to capacity with filler line and then remove exactly 75 yards by sticking the filler spool in my mailbox and walking to the back of my property 75 yards which I measured off. Cut and roll the filler line back on the spool. Then just put 75 yards of good line on.
  11. The Bomber Deep Flat A in silver flash has been my most productive crankbait. I am really wanting to try some SPRO Littlejohns though.
  12. If you cure the powder paint in a toaster oven, etc. they you don't need to apply epoxy to them.
  13. I have been known to listen to some Slipknot or Seether when I am throwing a crankbait or rattle trap.
  14. If you are getting snagged a lot bumping cover, pause for a second after hitting the cover and let the crankbait float up up slightly and start retrieving again. You should also have a good lure retriever.
  15. Eddie, I have heard that there are some really good deals to be had on components and blanks. Is everything discounted the whole show. or just on Sunday aftenoon? Flechero, I can understand about the little one. I am due with my second boy on Feb 4th. I only live 3 hours away from High Point so it will be easier for me to slip away for a while
  16. Who here plans to head up to NC on Feb 21-22 to go to the rod builders expo? I sure would like to meet up with some of you guys and have a chance to chat face to face. Post if you are going here.
  17. Burley, if you eat a bag of powerworms, you will eventually have a new kind of Berkely logbait ;D It will resemble what this guy is spewing about a 28lb bass

www.fishingskirts.com for your skirts. Janns netcraft for powder paint and skirts. I buy all of my unpainted jigheads from someone on Tackleundeground, I can provide you an email if you would like. GMan had a series of posts on making jigs a while back that would be very helpful.
  19. It will be fine without any finish on the area.
  20. KVD has said that he loves to talk trash. It's all part of his mental game.
  21. I use 10lb hybrid for cranking.
  22. How is it working using a BLNSG 6 stripper? I am going to go micro when I spiral wrap my Avid.
  23. That Dobyns rod only has a 1 year warranty.
