  1. jigfisherman..how long was your recovery period.....
  2. i am also having surgery on 4/12(see tennis elbow in this forum)..thought the doc would give me another shot but he said no more!!!!i've had this problem for about 1 1/2 yrs..i'll let you know how i make out...this suck's..from the sound of it no fishing until july or late june i guess.....
  3. bummer on the t motor cable..at least you got some fishing in...i've had surgery before,i not as concerned about the surgery as i am the expense of being out of work so long and going crazy not being able to do anything for 2 mos or more....i'll have the operation and just see what happens i guess......maybe it won't be severe and i'll only be out a month......
  4. you're going fishing and i'm moving snow around to get it to melt faster...what's wrong with this picture!!!!! sounds like you've been through alot but have things in perspective....thanks for the prayer and hope you had a good day fishing....my doctor mentioned the ultra sound but didn't believe it would work.....surgery is on the 12th..i'll put up a post when it's done(if i have it)!!!!!!!!!
  5. thanks for the advice, you went through exactly what i'm afraid of.(i almost cancelled)i'm worried they will find more problems once they get in their and i'll be out acouple months.oh well it's gotta be done and will be all over 2 weeks from today..i'll let you know how i make out!!!!!!hope the stuff with your daughter worked out ok....
  6. thanks deb,i've had this for 1 1/2 yrs...according to the doctor i will be limited for 3 or 4 weeks..no cast..as i understand it they are going to clean scar tissue away from the tendons and clean out anything that might be causing problems,i hope i'm not out too long cause my work disability insurance doesn't pay much not to mention fishing season isn't too far away here up north...did they cut the tendon(s) and reattach them,is that why you had the cast....
  7. tahnks sam...i have already done all that stuff last year..my pain is mostly on the outside of the elbow and never goes away..i tried heat..pills to reduce swelling..i guess according to the doctor it's too far gone to heal without surgery.....as for the curls i can't curl 10 lbs without pain!!!!!
  8. i'm sure many of you have elbow problems as i do ...has anyone had surgery to correct tennis elbow or tendinitis..my arm has bothered me for over a year..i've done the therapy and now they won't give me any cortisone shots!!!!!!! i was wondering what the recovery period was if anyone had any surgery to correct this and was it sucessful......i am considering surgery but not sure...
  9. buzzbaits...either i don't fish them enough or am doing something wrong but i never catch anything throwing a buzzbait
  10. i use berkley sensation msot of the time..i may spool some xt or xl on but i stay with mono and berkley..i have tried other brands over the past few years but always go back to trilene..
  11. just wondering if most of you guys insert weights in the tubes or use jig heads...i usually texas rig mine because i use the same rod for worms and other soft baits...
  12. there's alot of pike in the lake i fish most of the time and i have caught bass around weed clumps when there wasn't any bait fish flipping on the surface..i have also caught bass and pike in the same area and have seen a bass and pike both chase my lure although i have found that when it seems the pike are feeding like crazy the bass don't bite as well....
  13. i bought acouple last year and they do work..caught some decent bass and the sea gulls like to dive on them also!!!!!!!!
  14. i own a nitro 640 with a 60hp mercury. i am very happy with it but i almost always fish by myself... i would like alittle more room on the front deck...if you are fishing with someone else i would definately get the bigger motor and also the largest boat you can afford....i bought the 640 because of price and fishing alone,i don't fish any really big lakes so my nitro is fine for what i use it for.....
  15. i almost never find a pattern,i don't know if it's because the lakes i fish aren't really that big, around 400 acres+,i am more of a spot fishermen.i just tend to fish alot of weeds edges at different depths but never really seem to establish a pattern..
  16. i don't like it..you can't tell me it doesn't affect the females after going thru the stress of a weigh in and than being released nowhere near their nest..i don't fish tournaments and i don't fish for them on their nests...
  17. i get their catalogs too, but there seems to be more stuff on their website
  18. i bought a nitro a few yrs back and the spare tire was extra$$
  19. i use timbertigers alot..they do come through weeds very well and i have a couple that always seem to catch something..i don't know if it's the action or color...i think the only place you can get them now is yakima bait company..last time i checked i think the shallowest running bait was 1-2 ft..i would reccomend timber tigers to anyone
  20. i like shaw grigsby but he also plugs his products..i always wait for the triton boat comments..last weeks show he had his guest start with the lead in about triton....i also feel the same as others about bill dance,i would like to fish the places he fishes...i bet most of us could have a very good day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  21. thanks for the replys..i think i may give the accurist one more try..anymore problems it will be my last..........
  22. i don't take offense..i am loyal to certain brands if i like them.....if i wasn't loyal i wouldn't consider buying another accurist!!!!!!!!!!no problem here
  23. i need help..i am going to purchase a new reel and can't decide whether to buy a new accurist or daiwa supertuned advantage. i have 3 accurists and like them except they have all made a visit to reel mech for repair..i bought an adavantage super tuned late last year and only used it sparingly and could cast a bit better with the accurist. i guess i need to hear from people who have not had problems with the accurist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. i keep trying different lines but end up going back to trilene sensation,i had a bad experiance with vanish a few years ago and have never tried or will try another fluorocarbon line
  25. if you don't need the warmth i'd try frogg toggs..i use them in the summer and they keep me dry....and they are very light weight..
