i have 3 falcon cara's and love them,i will be ordering a 4th before spring.....i've never used any allstar or g loomis or kistler..etc though...over the years i've used bass rods and have a couple jonny morris..you won't be unhappy with the falcon....

i see trilene has a new line out,has anyone tried trilene maxx,i usually use sensation and was wondering how the maxx is..

i too have been skunked many times..not too often last year,but only because i'd catch a couple 12 inch bass...

i'm a member..i've been renewing 1 year at a time..each year saying i'm not going to renew but the magazine gives me something to look through during the winter..

i've been using the fish n log for a few years now and am very happy with it..at the end of the year i print out the most productive areas..lures,times...anything you want to narrow it down to you can....i forgot what it originally costs but it's worth it,you can also track expenses if you travel and i also keep track of purchases just to see what i spend....

upon further review the cabella's web site has the accurist pt 500&501(my mistake)but also has an accurist pts for about $20.00 more...it may be for salt water but i'm not sure

do any of you quantum users know if there is a big difference between the quantum accurist pt and the 500pt..i currently own 3 quantum accurist pt's and may buy another accurist or 500pt or daiwa advantage supertuned.....

only suggestion i have is go to nitroboats.com and click on find a dealer..then you can call or email them about what you need...i've ordered parts from a dealer in my area....

i live in mass and bought a new boat in ny..i was charged mass taxes and did not pay any ny taxes..all registering(boat and trailer was done in mass....the laws may be different for different states but i did not pay any ny sales tax...

i have 4 cara's and love em...i think you'll be happy with it and save your money because you will probably buy more!!!!!!!!!

has anyone used any of these new rods,i have some falcon cara's and really like them and was thinking about buying a falcon cara reaction rod for crankbaits.....

i get the same mail from ebay...it's like an email from someone saying they supposedly purchased something from me and now they want to know why it wasn't sent..i never signed up on ebay...i also get messages from paypal to update my acc't or they will close it..i don't use paypal and i called them and they told me it was a scam.....i delete all emails except from people i know..bank and credit card companies will tell you don't respond no matter how realistic the site looks....if it's important they will send something in the regular mail...

the only luck i've had is slow rolling a spinnerbait along the tops of the weeds and letting it fall along the weed edges..i'm in the north east and the lake i usually fish isn't real clear right now..i have tried everything from topwaters to jigs and the spinnerbait is working the best

i'm in western mass..the spinnerbait is chart/blue with a chart trailer usually.tandem willow blade..i have moved in shallow and caught some small bass on a windy day but the weeds are still fairly thick..there really isn't an inside edge,they pretty much grow right up to shore...i have tried yum frog..propbait..zara spook on beautiful overcast calm days as well as a few breezy days..as far as knowing where the bass are,that's my problem..i think i know the bass are around the deep weed patchs and spend too much time fishing it!!!!!!!! i do usually hit the shallows once or twice but perhaps i should spend more time shallow..thanks for your suggestions..hopefully i will try again this weekend!!!!!

i'll try to keep this short.the lake i usually fish i've been catching bass pretty much all season along a weed edge in about6' that drops off into what might be a channel about 9' deep..well now the weed edge is dying off and i've moved out to some deeper weed clumps that grow to the surface then drop off into the main lake about 12' deep..i've caught a couple bass 3.5 and 4 lbs in the deeper clumps plus a couple big pike but nothing consistent..used senko's,jigs,tubes,worms,crankbaits,jerkbaits..only lure that works is a spinnerbait...i've read articles about bass moving shallow for shad but i'm in the northeast and i guess the forage would be perch and bluegill..i am moving deeper because thats where the weeds haven't died off yet..am i doing the right thing? any suggestions.....thanks

i almost got my lure back....this past weekend a big bass or pike broke my line and swam off with my spinnerbait,about 2 hrs later while fishing the same area i heard a splash pretty close to the boat and as i turned i saw my spinnerbait flying in the air..just missed landing in the boat by a couple feet...

i have some vcr tapes from infisherman when al lindner was still there..they are helpfull...he has some dvd's on his website..it's now lindners angling edge..i haven't bought any because i don't have a dvd player but whenever i finally get one i'll probably order some

i was able to get just the boot..make sure you talk to a authorized motor guide dealer or maybe your dealer is trying to make a few extra bucks!!!!!!! i called marine usa in worcester,ma..a nitro boat dealer and motorguide dealer..they sent the boot right out to me but i may have gotten the last one!!!!!!!!!!

the same thing happened to me acouple weeks ago..it was the rubber boot and i ordered a couple from a dealer and had them sent to my house seeing that the closest dealer is over an hour away..

chug bug,seeing your post about fishing alone and not needing to speed around the lake sounds like my situation...i bought a nitro a few yrs back and am very happy with it..it's the 640LX with a 60 hp motor,think i spent around $12,000...it goes about 45mph...it does seem like nitro puts the smaller motors on their boats but i the largest lake i fish is around 500 acres and i get around fast enough,i think most of us would like 300hp motors but how many of us really need them

i replaced a trim motor on a 50hp evinrude acouple years ago...i don't remember having any problems..i needed to loosen the bolts on the motor but did not have to remove it...

i had a grumman 17' aluminum bass boat....i don't remember the model name..i think i bought it in 94 and sold it 3 yrs ago..it had a 50 hp evinrude and was a very good boat..i never had a problem with it..only reason i sold it was i wanted something better set up for more storage and the wood decking seemed to have a couple soft spots...i think the model was bass outlaw

i own a nitro640LX and am happy with it..i looked at skeeters and picked the nitro because of price and it had more storage..nitro does seem to put lower hp motors on as standard equip...mine has a 60hp..it's ok for me as i fish by myself and don't fish any really big lakes..i also think that nitro's might be a little lower quality but i only fish weekends and no tournaments and it's fine for me..i think it's a good value and a good boat
