Beautiful fish. A 55 minute battle seems like an "epic" fight to me. You rarely catch a bass that will fight that long.

55 minutes is pretty quick to get a fish in of that size, after reading the article the angler thought so too. Yokum fully cashes out when he's 105 years old...........could that be a typo and should have been 20 years?

that is a monster fish. there have been some anglers around these parts that have gotten 300+ lb tuna, but nothing of that proportion. such a behemoth
