How Many Places Do You Buy From?

Featured Replies

Do you have one website that you buy all, or almost all of your tackle from? Or several different ones? Or do you have one for soft plastics, and another you prefer for crankbaits or jigs, etc?

Edi: This doesn't necessarily have to be websites. It could be the mom n pop tackle shop down the road, or wherever.

I buy most of my stuff from Cabela's and BPS, but I also like to cruise around the web.  You never know what kind of online deal you will find.

Because they're the closest:  Wal-Mart and Gander Mountain.  On line: Producto

I used to buy my online stuff from #1 Bass pro and then Cabelas. But I haven't bought tackle from them in years. Tackle warehouse ships faster and cheaper and their prices are usually better ecpecialy when they have their sales. plus they have a better selection of higher quality stuff. Bass Pro, Cabelas and Wal mart tend to stock a lot of low end gear. If I have to have something now there are a couple good small tackle shops close to me that are really good like East county bait and tackle and Lakeside bait and tackle. I usually check the clearance stuff at Wal mart when I am there and every once in a while I find something to buy.

Tackle Warehouse is my #1

Off the top of my head...... Tackle warehouse, Bass Pro Shops, cabelas, dicks, gander mtn., Susquehanna fishing tackle, another site, walmart, and probably a few more I can't remember. Not much in the area for locally owned mom and pop type bass tackle shops or I would buy from them.

Bass Pro, Cabela's, Roger's, Academy, and Tackle warehouse is where I get most of my stuff.

Bass Pro Outlet store is my #1. Always fun to buy a lure off the rack for a dollar when it's in the main store for 15.99 or whatever. Sometimes there isn't much in there and other times it's like a gold mine. I buy some from other places from time to time but mostly it's for tackle making and not lures or rods and reels.

On line Tackle Warehouse is my number one choice, that said I buy local whenever I can from independent tackle shops.

Tackle warehouse for selection, small tackle shop or bps for emergencies.

Tackle Warehouse. One time they sent the incorrect weight for jigs.  Called them and they promptly sent me the correct weight and told me to keep the incorrect ones.

Also, they offer a 10% discount to all active and inactive military veterans.

I buy most of my stuff from TW. Ill buy rod/reels and tackle occasionally on the forums and ebay. Locally i have one tackle shop and dicks.

TW, Dicks, wal-mark and BPS

x2 ... sprinkle in the occasional Gander or Cableas if there is one nearby but those are my go-to spots.

lures - TW

terminal tackle - Academy

Reels - Ebay

Rods - always buy in person

line - Academy

Tackle Warehouse and Bass Pro online.

Dicks, Bass Pro, Local Store in person.

Unfortunately for me there's a bass pro about 20 minutes from my house so I do most of my shopping there. If they don't have what I'm looking for I order from TW

I also live in San Deigo and its so hard to beat Tackle Warehouse. Being we get our shipment the next day and cheaper prices, you cant beat it.

Locally ,Wal-Mart is all I've got. I drop in at Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops, Academy, etc. when I'm in the neighborhood. A lot of my purchases are online from Barlow's, TW, and others.

Tackle Warehouse is my #1.  Their prices are good, their customer service is outstanding, their selection is unbeatable, free shipping over $50 and no tax since I don't live CA, what more can you ask for?  They've always treated me right so I am loyal to them for all my online shopping.  I do pick stuff up from EBAY frequently as well.  Other than that, I have Dick's, Cabela's, Academy, Gander Mountain, Southwestern Parts, Barlow's, Fishin' World  and BPS all within 20 minutes of me.  I don't stand a chance. :D
