Super User everythingthatswims Posted October 25, 2015 Super User Share Posted October 25, 2015 Put in 7 hours today on the kayak for 9 fish. Slowwwwwww. This was the only nice one, taped out at 18". Hit a chatterbait a few feet from my kayak in crystal clear water, very cool to watch!

guitarglynn1
Another mixed bag. Past couple of months the pickerel bite has been on and the bass bite has been slow for me, so I have been throwing cranks and spinners at the pickerel. Got this one on a yellow perch shad shallow This one kept following the shad shallow but would not hit it. I changed to a booyah super shad spinner and first cast it hit it like a run away freight train. Wet my hands, got a pic and back it went. caught my first salmon. I was fishing for bass but the salmon schools are very active right now and shallow. I was in the right place right time. This one was feeding aggressively at the surface and I cast into the ruckus and it went right after it. Super cool fish. For over a month I have not caught many bass and any I have caught have been small. But fun! This is my biggest bass in over a month. The bite seems to be picking up again. Lots of follows on this day but none would commit. Finally caught this on a huckleberry salty sinker wacky rigged.
NEjitterbugger
2 weekends ago my father in law and I got out for a few hours and put together a solid bag including this 6.92lber. Thought we finally clipped the 7lb mark but just a bit shy. Checked on 2 scales with the same weight reading. Choked a homemade jig I made for him last winter. That is quite a fish! What a TANK

Cyacnba
Caught this 7.5lb bass on my third cast with a jig today. Missed a couple of bites, but I still managed to catch 7, one of them weighting 5.45lb. I still can't believe this small ponds holds such big bass

guitarglynn1
Caught this at a pond I have only fished a few times. It runs right along a quarry I fish and it was very windy and I was having a tough go of it at the quarry. I figured I would jump over to the pond for a few which was much calmer. Caught this on a wacky rigged salty sinker.

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 9, 2015 Global Moderator Share Posted November 9, 2015 The big fish were eating this week for me! Wednesday was my biggest smallmouth of the year at 4lb 11oz on a Luck-E-Strike STX jerkbait. Thursday I only got 3.5 hours of fishing and I took too long to figure them out. Once I did though, I caught 2 4lb 10oz, a 4lb 12oz, and a 5lb largemouth. First one ate a homemade brush jig, the last 3 were on my homemade bladed jigs in black and blue.
Super User everythingthatswims Posted November 10, 2015 Super User Share Posted November 10, 2015 My two recent catches. Unfortunately didn't measured the weight. Anyone has some idea? Is that a SK series 3 crankbait? Basing it off of that the first fish looks to be about 2-2.5 and the second 3-3.5 but I could be totally wrong. Those are really healthy bass! Did you get a length on them?
Super User WIGuide Posted November 10, 2015 Super User Share Posted November 10, 2015 This last weekend, due to time constraints I didn't get out as much as I wanted. Still managed to hook into a 30"+ Northern, some walleyes, a few bass, and a crappie who seems to have found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time! The smallie came in at 19.5". Not a bad weekend at all, just makes me wonder how much better it could have been with more time.

Joe H.
I know haha some of those fish we caught that day were surprisingly healthy considering the drought and lopez's overabundance of panfish and lack of baitfish
