Any body use this? My Walmart has it.

I really liked it as leader material. It was good as main line with crankbaits and just ok as main line for jigs. I didn't treat it at all and got a good bit of memory.

I use it in 20# and it's great!

I use it as leader material in 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, and 20lb test. No issues. I like it a lot.

I use it for spinning and baitcasting main line, good cheap fluro

Excellent leader material.  I've never used it as main line because 99.9999% of my reels have Power Pro Braid.

the only inexpensive fluoro i'd ever recommend. 

Red Label is the only flourocarbon I have used as a mainline, and I love it. I have 15 lb on my jig/worm rod. I chose it because its cheap, but it performed far better than i had anticipated. The memory is not too obnoxious and the sensitivity is great (IMO)

I haven't noticed it in my applications.

I use it for leader material most of the time. In a pinch I needed to respool for a tourney and bought 15 and 8lb test. 15 for a baitcaster and 8 for my spinning. Worked very well. I am usually an Invix guy.

I have it on several combos, both spinning and baitcast, in 8, 12, 15, and 20#. I like it. My only complaint is that it does not have great abrasion resistance, but I retie often and it has not cost me a fish. I have fished it since early in the year and will be buying bulk spools for next year. 

I may have to give it another shot. When I went through my flouro phase, I got some and it was just abysmal. Memory was insane and it just broke completely at random .....multiple times. Maybe I got a bad spool? Eh. .... I settled on berkley.

Now I've moved away from flouro for the most part. Only use it occasionally in some crystal clear waters around here. Really just to use up what I have.

My opinion is it's as good as mono. It's not very sensitive. Abrasion resistance isn't real good. It has memory issues without any l&l and it's got a decent amount of stretch. There's a reason it's $13. Pickup something better and your fluoro experience will be better too. Sunline sniper is reasonably priced. Berkeley 100% fc isn't bad either.

Yeah. ... in general I liked berkley 100%. I just didn't really notice enough of a difference over my regular line ( yozuri) to justify the cost. * shrug*

Not to hijack the thread. Maybe I will try the red label again. I've seen plenty of positive reviews for it lately.

good line the only problem i have is the memmory gets bad if you don't treat it with l&l.

I've used 12lb and 17lb as a main line for the past 2 years. No issues at all and memory is not bad even without line conditioner imo. 

Red Label and Sunline Super are the only 2 fluoros I use. I think the Sunline handles a little nicer and seems to have a little better abrasion resistance but that may just all be in my head. 

It's solid. I picked up a spool to try out in 10#, gave it in my fluke/Jerkbait combo. No complaints.

It is great line.  It's not the best, to get that you need to pay for it...But it suits my needs perfectly, falling squarely in the middle of the good-enough vs cheap-enough argument. 

 

I've not had any of the problems most people complain about...Same goes for the other guys I know who use it regularly.  It performs very well and I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything when I use it.  

 

 

When you respool a lot, the $$$ factor starts coming into play.  I will buy 1000 yard spools of 10, 12, and 15 at the beginning of the year...The 10 & 12 typically last almost the entire year and I'll end up getting another 1000 yard roll of 15 about halfway through the season.  Stuff like 8, 14, and 20 will just be filler spools ....But you can see, that's a lot of line! 

 

If you're not using line in bulk like this, it makes more sense to go for the high dollar stuff in filler spools.  I need to play the good-enough vs cheap-enough game and Red Label fits the bill perfectly for me.
