Kvd Line And Lure Conditioner

Featured Replies

Does anyone use the KVD line and lure conditioner? I have fluorocarbon on most everything and was wondering if this would make the FC a little easier to handle.

A quick search would give you all you need to know.

It's good stuff. Won't solve all your problems. Like Mike said, it ain't magic, but it helps a lot. They used to be a Bass Resource sponsor, and a bunch of us got free samples at the RoadTrip, a couple of years ago. I've been using it ever since.

I use it it too and it does help. Fluorocarbon can be a pain but you will feel more bites. I also take everything off and run the line behind the boat once in a while. That seems to help more then anything. I always do that with new line. It gets all the twists out of it.

X2

I like using it on copolymers too

Wish I had a dollar for every time this thread was created. I could buy quite a bit of L&L

To the OP, as everyone else has stated, yes. I use it for flouro, mono and copolymer. I won't spool a reel without it.

Works for me. Although I've never found a need to condition a lure.

It's pretty good stuff.  I have some left of the original from when it was first being tested and some of the new in a spray bottle.  The original that was in a little gray bottle is the best.  I have no idea why but the original formula for this stuff was different.  I apply it in the same way.  I spray or pore it on a lint free cloth and apply it as I am spooling a reel.  I will then spray the line every once in a while.  You can tell a difference in most lines especially FC.  Bottomline, it pretty much does what it says> makes line limper and cast farther.

One other thing, I also will wipe the guides on my rods with the stuff from time to time.  I figure it can't hurt, it's already on a cloth when I am spooling my reels.

Good stuff like others have said. I spray the line as I'm spooling it. Put it on a qtip and use it to clean the guides. Also helps with water spots when sprayed on graph screen.

The other day I was putting a swivel on some #40 braid, sprayed the knot before tightening & it slide right down and tightened up real nice. Worked better than the normal spit.

If you can find the line and lure "saltwater" formula, without kvd's name on it, its the exact same thing +a salt disolver in a much bigger bottle for the same price.

I recently finished a bottle i bought about 3 years ago.

It's the bomb and worth every penny.

Good stuff!

Absolutely ... I tired a bunch of others but always find my way back to the KVD lure and line conditioner.  When I spool on new line I run it through this stuff.  Then the night before each tournament I saturate the line with it and let it sink in overnight.   Makes a huge difference IMO.

There needs to be a sticky made with this, like the senko sticky.

I noticed a difference when I used flouro.

Since I switched to copoly, I still use it....but I admit that on the occasions when I have forgotten to use it, I haven't noticed any difference.  Nothing scientific, but I am not convinced that copoly 'needs' it.

Will you get the same effects of the conditioner if you just spray it on the line while already on the reel versus the cloth method while spooling a reel?

Yes, good stuff.  I spray it on my reels, sunglasses, guides.
