Got some cheap spinners, a spool of line, and worm hooks yesterday.  I'm going to pick up some new tubes soon as well.  That monkey just won't leave me alone!

I don't know yet -- I don't own a baitcasting reel!

 

Total impulse buy. I'm a long time spinning-junkie, never even cast a baitcaster. I've known I wanted to get a nice mid-tier Fenwick for some time. And I've wanted to get a first baitcaster some time soon and start learning it.  What I did not know was that my first casting rod would be a deeply-discounted, discontinued mid-tier Fenwick.

 

So I now find myself in the market for a beginner-friendly casting reel.

 

I have heard the seat on these rods doesn't fit some reels very well (some Shimano models in particular, if I recall), so we'll see.

Finally broke down and ordered a Savage Gear 3D Shine Glide in Threadfin this morning, the 7.25" version. Suppose to get here Thursday. Sure hope it does so I can get it wet on Friday

It's been a while since I've stopped by but I just picked up a really nice little Deps and I'm pretty stoked on it.

In other news I'm going to be liquidating a whole bunch of gear to consolidate and reconfigure since it's pretty much ski season now for me.

THE BAIT GODS WERE LOOKING OUT FOR ME! So to make a long story longer... I've been saving for a FF so I haven't spent any money on other fishing related items for the past month and a half, and it might be another month before i can buy the FF. The struggle is reel .  Anywho, out of the blue my lovely wife comes to me with a 50 dollar Mastercard gift card... (Drops mic and walks away)

Spent it all at Siebert's the same night, on some Derockers, Arky , and swim jigs

Got my first Megabass pop max in megabass sxe shad and it looks well worth the money! Very impressed with the craftsmanship.

I have to make a 500 dollar order from TW soon lost so many cranks this year its unreal!!

Ordered a 2nd Exscence DC. It is the only reel I have a duplicate of. At this point I have yet to find a better performing and more fun to use reel. Have not sorted out its mate yet as the rod search will continue through the Holidays. The MB Levante is among the contenders...

Almost got to post my latest bundle of purchases but appaerantly some scumbag decided to swipe the package off my porch. Tracked it at work, was excited, got home, POd.
