I was going back and forth on this one all weekend. Wasn't going to buy it but at the last second pulled the trigger. After 30% off for employee appreciation day it came up to $102 CDN including tax.

 

Went to gander mountain for some Christmas shopping.  These were on sale.  Merry Christmas to me.

Y'know...  As someone who actually uses Tatsu all the time and pays full price, this hurts me so deep on the inside.    

Question for my fellow Deps fans...  Shudder tails.  I'm oddly intrigued by them.  Any thoughts?  Observations?  Experience?

Do you have a different way to source the 7:1 gear sets aside from the TackleTrap? They seem to be on BO for ages and then once in stock are gone within an hour. I seem to only be able to get 1 at a time =( a need a few. 

My latest is something I have been looking for used for over a year. Just happen to email Falcon and they had one left on the shelf. Haven't fished with it yet but I'm excited to get into some close up hand to hand combat with some bucket mouths with this one. It's a Falcon Cara T7 6' MH.  They sold it to me for what a Bucoo micro would have cost.

What are your initial thoughts on the Fury?

I was on the fence about getting it, but after getting annoyed with the hook keeper on a Fenwick silverhawk I decided to go ahead. Initial thoughts are that it feels pretty well balanced with a stradic fj2500 on it. Guides all look good. I like that the reel seat threads aren't exposed even after tightening down onto the reel. I feel the handle could be a little longer, but I may change my mind after I can actually get some time on the water with it.

Santa came early, dropped off a new toy to play with since the weather's been so good! ; )

yea I know but you have to order 150 bucks worth of stuff and you only get one. Not very helpful when you what 4 or 5 new tee shirts and a hoodie...

that may be true but I look at is as 6 bucks for a pretty decent tee shirt your down too thrift shop pricing right there and you get a brand new shirt!
