4 ABEC 7 bearings from Hawgtech for my 2 Chronarch 50e reels

15lb Boga Grip (which, when it arrives, I'll hand over to my wife and say, "here, I bought this for my Christmas present so nobody has to shop for me now" I'll have a dumb dog look on my face.) Hopefully this strategy of waiting to use it till Xmas will mean I'm not in trouble.

Just one bait ? dude, come and ask for support when you get really bit, one bait is not even considered a flesh wound.

Haha it's true!

I'm in full on ski season mode though, which costs me way more than the fishing season... Complete impulse buy- or should I say surprise attack?

Luckily I've prefaced lures from japan showing up in those funny envelopes as "stuff I bought months ago- sometimes it takes weeks or months to show up babe!"... So as long as I stay JDM and pepper it lightly I'm good to go ;)

I will be!! I've got a float on my cheap Econoscale

now, and I might even tether the Boga to my yak

or PFD.

Let's see...........my last couple purchases were at the new F&S store in Henrietta when it opened a couple weeks ago. I walked out with:

For Bass:

Fenwick HMG 6'9" ML/F spinning rod

Those Fenwick HMG spinning rods are very nice.  I have two of them and want one or two more.  I find them not only functional but very nice to look at - prettiest rods out there.

Don't get me started on more cowbell, lol.... got at least a dozen of the darn things lying around.

Are those Shimano or Daiwa?    ;-)

Tight lines (and beats),

Bob

shimano makes cowbells

Been on a more expensive kick the past few weeks: cymbal monkey got me.

I can sympathize, the sugar monkey got me this year.

Probably won't contribute to this thread much.   All I can recall buying this year fishing related was three bags of plastics during the mid summer, and a few spools of line back in April.

I just finished cleaning, re-lubing and spooling up a nice new Daiwa Tatula.  I should have received a new Lew's Tournament Pro by now too, but the eBay seller sent the wrong one (right hand vs. left hand) and my return package is caught in some sort of postal vortex. It makes me dizzy looking at the tracking info!  =:-0

I still need one or two more reels to finish outfitting the four new rods I bought earlier this month!  I'm going to have to rob a bank to get some more money for Christmas shopping....    ;-)

Tight lines,

Bob

The tackle monkey bit me twice this week.  A 5.3:1 Concept-A and Diawa Tatula ML/F casting rod from T/W and a couple of Pflueger spinning reels from Dick's.  The 'tackle' purchase was a bag of 4" Senkos from Dick's to make the discount minimum....   I've got a bad feeling it's gonna be another expensive winter (better bag some OT!)

ADD: Mike from DVT should have received my PQ's and Concept-A by now too....

I fished with my Tatula last Thursday and it never got above 27* with a wind chill of 23* and 20mph winds (the day started out with single digit wind chills). Anyhow the Twing guide froze up and the line was only able to go through the right side of it causing the line to bunch up on one side of the spool. :-/

$25 for the X-Dad - I'm not ready to cough up that for a lure.  Though I've said that about rods & reels - I own two Cores now....but still haven't crossed the $200 line for a rod yet (close, twice, however).

I best snag an OT shift or book a couple extra jobs, and quick....

Two new rod builds purchased last week. ($179 and $120) I can stay away from BPS and Cabela's, I just can't stay off the web. and I KNOW I'm gonna need a couple of new reels for 'em. TW, here I come (with a monkey on my shoulder)
