I just received a "new to me" Daiwa Fuego through the flea market.  Now the bait monkey is riding me hard on getting a rod to pair it with.

YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE IT THAT WAY, DOOD!!!

Swimbaits and gear to throw em on....So far a Okuma guide select swimbait rod thanks to the flea market, a Cardiff 301A, Savage gear line through trout, River2Sea s waver and 2 Hudd 68's.....gonna be a long road traveled. Still stocking up on LC pointers for upcoming months, the pickerel got extra hungry last winter....

And thats only freshwater....Looking to pick up a Okuma Komodo 350 in the next couple of days to pair with my bridge rod since my cardiff went to my swimbait rod.

Acquired these over the last couple of weeks from various bait monkey sellers on Ebay. Risto Raps...some people hate them, but I love them...I call them my Shad Raps on steroids.

Scored a *** *** casting rod for $125 off of ebay. Wasn't looking for a rod but it was too good to pass up.

Nice! Some of my favorite rods and untouchable at their price point. What size and action?

7'3" MHXF. It'll be replacing the 7'3" *** that I've been using to pitch plastics. It joins 2 *** blacks and an *** Green. Love these *** rods.

Awwwww yeah, that's got to be a great stick!! I have their HXF ***, absolutely amazing rod. So versatile and sooooo sexy.

Good grab!

Even a trip to wal mart for some new boot laces is a hazard to the wallet. They were practically giving away Lightning Rod shocks, so I picked up a couple more. Now I have backup rods for my backup rods lol.

Those rods are really great! Wish my Walmart would put them on sale and carry more than 6'6 mh's

I spent $150 on fishingskirts.com yesterday. 3 packs of weedguards, the rest was all skirt material. Been a busy fall with the local tackle store keeping me cranking out baits.

They are a guilty pleasure of mine. Even though I have "better" rods, I find myself using these all the time, even though I claim they are my "backup/loaner rods". IDK what it is about them. But I have never paid full retail for them, and I think it just tickles my cheapskate bone that I am out there catching fish just fine with what some people on here would label as "junk".

The latest bait monkey attack resulted in two separate tw orders plus one from a local shop for some shellcracker G2s. I told myself I'd just do a small order which basically means I had to do a follow up order for the stuff I "forgot" haha. The bait monkey has no mercy.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a 6' Amp medium spinning rod with a supreme XT and some 4# line on it for the little guy. Perfect beater rod- cheap, tough, the one pieces have a pretty decent action and backbone. Certainly no complaints for the $!

My recent bait monkey binge was on a couple of second-hand reels, one a BPS Carbonlite and the other a Daiwa TD-X. I'm going to wait until the fishing exhibition shows that are coming up in February and March to see what other damage I can inflict on my wallet... Then there's also the trip to Japan that my wife is taking, I might place an order for her to bring back with me...

Yep, been doing it for over 10 years now. The bait monkey is bad enough when you have to pick from stock colors. Once you get to create your own combinations it gets that much worse! It's fun to do though and after a lot of trial and error you end up with some real winners :)
