This is actually the bait I'm talking about, the line thru sandeel. They're a pretty new bait still, so I'm hoping maybe they'll be released here eventually.

Yep....  my mistake! Haven´t tried those yet.

Is Epps still in the same old building? I haven't been there in close to 20 years. Always stopped and bought stuff on the way to Lake Kipawa. They had good prices even then

So much for saving the gift cards I had until the next sale...

Good grief that NZ Crawler is giant.  I think its a cool bait, but I wish it came in something 50-60% as big!

I purchased a 6'9" ML Veritas 2.0 spinning rod this weekend for 35.00!  Was on sale from $99.00 to $69.99, then got 50% off of that price!!!

Its definitely a beast. I've got plenty of big swimbaits and whatnot, but nothing with this kind of width. The aventa or full size pompadour might be up your alley if you want something a little smaller

Where was that?  I'be got couple Veritas 2.0 rods and like them a lot.

It was at a local tackle store in Liberty, MO called Rogers Sporting Goods.  I will probably go purchase another bait cast rod too for that price.

I work there and I can tell you that someone made a mistake. But good deal for you. They are supposed to be 50% off regular price so you got a deal because one of the new girls at the counter didn’t pay attention.

I was supposed to go into Scheel’s only to try on sunglasses and I couldn’t resist these on clearance. I bought all that was left...

I did however, achieve my original goal and am now in the market for some Costa Jose or Blackfin 580G Green mirrors.

Guys, I think you'll find these Veritas 2.0 rods at considerable discount this spring.  They had a couple at a DSG near me for $35 also.  There is a new 3.0 out and makes sense they are clearing out the 2.0's.

Stepping up my swimbait game.

I purchased more custom painted crankbaits from River Rat on eBay. He has some nice looking baits.

Haven't bought anything fishing-related in months.

Recently I got an email from Megastrike saying 20% off with code "Spring18".

Well, OK, why not:

MegastrikeFEB18.thumb.jpg.a24a68eba02b7f79414434aebfcef357.jpg

Strikeback spinnerbaits, shakeyheads, double tail grubs, tubes, megabugs, & fat shads...

Just enough for the discount to offset shipping, which is good enough for me.  For now.

I got hit by going to Raul King to get some Diet Faygo and ending spenting $50 on mudville catmaster catfish products and some crappie lures.

New combo! So ecstatic about it that I had to share it here in addition to the “Show off your stuff” thread.

I can’t wait for the spring!

I bought my first Whopper Plopper yesterday.  Never tried one before but hear a lot about them.  Now if spring would hurry up and get here.

Before settling on this one, I was comparing the 110, and the 130 to this 90.  The 110, and 130 look frickin huge.  Too big for my liking.  I know it's not about me, but I had to put myself in the bass's shoes.  I don't think I'd like something that large.

so 90 it is :P

6 bags of havoc pit boss's

1 bag of yum craws

1 bag of zoom trick worms

1 booyah pad crasher

1 booyah poppin pad crasher

1 bag of 1/4 oz bullet weights

I really need to reorganize my tackle. Getting ready to start cleaning out non confidence baits. Trying to find a balance between variety and minimalism.

I have vowed that I will only carry one 3600 box of plastics with no more than 8 types and one 3600 box of lures. Too many options isn't working for me, need to simplify

Have confidence in the bigger stuff! The 130 gets ANNIHILATED by 2lbers.

but that's IF they even exist in my waters.  If no biggies go after a larger lure....it goes in my non confidence box.  not good

but the 130 is 1.375oz in weight.  holy crap!!  ya, none of my rods can handle that weight.  that's crazy

Couldn’t resist a KastKing Assassin on sale for $43.99.

Opened the package to find a free 300 meter spook of KastKing coplymer. Not sure what I’ll be using 4-lb for but hey it’s free.

I was pretty impressed with the look and feel of the Assassin until I turned the centrifugal brake from 0 to anything else. My oh my it’s noisy. Makes a high pitch sound I can’t quite describe.

What helped with the noise for me was to put a slight coat of oil on the drum. Give it a try.
