Hey guys, just wondering what is the best and most durable jig trailer craw.  I have tried a lot of them, some off the top of my head are Berkley chigger craw, Berkley havoc, strike king rage, net bait paca chunk, zoom chunk, and many more I'm forgetting I'm sure.  Anyways, I'm tired of the claws just ripping off, even if you barely knick a tree branch.  On top of that, all these baits keep sliding down the hook, because they're wore out after one or two bass, even dinks.    The best one I have tried so far  for durability seems to be the Northland Tackle Slurppies craw, but it is no longer made!  What are some of your top picks?  I like pretty much all of the above mentioned and have caught fish on all, except the durability is terrible!  I was thinking pork craw trailer, anyone use them?  Or possibly z man, as I have had good luck with some of their worms, and sometimes seem to never wear out!  Any input is very appreciated.

Pork is durable all right . Used it for decades .

overall durability i give it to Z-man, my favorite is a paca chunk but my advice is keep trying new ones! good luck

Top shelf jig kicker: Expensive, but durable.

Poor Craw Durability is a product of the baits shape & design - claws are going to pulled off.  That's just the way its.

 

As for the bait slipping down the hook - I highly recommend you check out a product  called  "Parasite clips".  They are design specifically to address this problem and they work perfectly.

Zman is as durable as it gets

The durability of Elaztech and 3x plastics is unexcelled.

All the same, if you want a T-rigged trailer that stays weedless, you don't want a Cyberflexxx trailer.

The plastic is very soft and jelly-like, and the hook-point pops thru under light resistance (a big No-No)

Before messing with superglue, I'd rather select a more appropriate trailer.

Zman is very durable. Super glue will keep your baits from sliding down the hook. Nichols lures also makes jigs with a slot for a toothpick to hold the trailer, and keep it from sliding down the hook. The only craw trailer I've had a huge problem with durability is the Berkley Crazy Legs Chigger Craw, it just has too many appendages.

I use and love the zoom super hawg or brush hawg. They do well for me

Does nobody use Uncle Josh's pork rinds anymore? I've had the same pork craw trailer on one of my jigs for 3 years now and it still catches fish. My biggest issue with them is trying to get them off the hook when I wanna change.

I have some 1/4 ounce lead bullet weights with a skirt collar .  Couple that with a parasite clip like A Jay mentioned and you have a jig profile with the weedlessness of a Texas rig and the craw will stay put . Use a bobber stop to peg  the weight in place .

I will forever use Dry creek twin tail grubs.  Cheap, durable and awesome!

Strike King makes some, so does Paycheck Baits.

Zoom makes the most durable trailers imo.

I've been using the Zman Batwingz as my go to jig trailer for almost a year now. Durability is great and the fact that the claws float up is nice too. The Zman Turbo CrawZ is a good option if you want some more action in your trailer.

 

Old school pork trailers are great also. I seem to catch bigger fish when I fish pork at times.

Northland still makes the slurries one but with a different name. It is called the brush beaver. It works great

Best and most durable are not the same thing IMO. The best I have used are are the Netbait and Rage products. I have tried many others. I always come back to these. The cost of a few extra baits is small when compared to all the other costs of fishing.
