I've made the decision to not shave for a whole year. The gf hates the idea of it but its my face I don't care if she threatens to bring the clippers in my sleep. Now is just trimming the neck line up considered shaving when growing out the awesomeness off a beard or just let it go free un touched for a year.

I can't stand letting my neck and the corners of my mouth go unshaven. I've gone around six months with the rest. Do it.

I don't like long hair in the corners of my mouth either, could care less about the rest of it!

Can't grow mine because of work. We can have mustaches, but I'm not growing the Farva. 

Can we start a pool about the first day this winter when it gets caught in the zipper of your coat? 

 

I tried one of those Smith Bros full blown beards just long enough to have that happen to me.  After that it got whacked down to a manageable length where it stayed for years with a weekly trimming.

I have a beard since 1975, took it off twice each time for about 4 months then grew it back.  I keep mine trimmed and the neck is always shaved, groomed no different than grooming the hair on my head, which I have far less these days.

I grew me goatee out for roughly 7 months, when it hit my chest I trimmed it back. Definitely trim your neck and mouth, those are terrible places for ingrown hair.

I was just going to let it go all duck dynasty and not touch it at all I usually trim the neck and mouth when I had long periods between drills and could grow one out some but now I have as long as I wish I'm shooting for a year at least.

I usually grow a beard around Christmas time and shave it in the spring and keep the goatee...this year i still have the beard going but i keep it trimmed shorter for the summer.  I can't stand neck beards and long hairs around my top lip so that gets trimmed.  

I've had a beard for about 30 years. I shave my neck and trim the mustache every 2 or 3 days.

It really seems to help the fishing, at least if you ask SpeedBead.

We, a bunch of poker buddy's, do the no shave November. I can grow a pretty luscious beard in a months time, so I would go nuts for a year. Wish it grew on top of my head like it does my face.

Go for it grizzly adams. The longest I managed to go with out trimming my goatee was two years. It was a down right nightmare and would get stuck on things and caught in stuff. Even when it was braided it got caught in stuff.

Won't happen she's 34 weeks pregnant and still shaves it's quite comical to watch some times trying to balance.

Do it!!  I trim my mustache about once a week, other than that I don't touch a thing (including my neck).  Uncle Si is my hero!!  Ha-ha

I trimmed my neck up a little it's only been 3 weeks so the mustache wasn't bad yet I can pull it a little it's coming in nicely. The GF and the ex wife have both ganged up saying they are going to come in and take the clippers to it in my sleep. Pretty sure they arnt supposed to gang up on me like that. I told my gf it's staying in trimmed for a minimum of 6 months then MAYBE I'll take the clippers to it with like a big guard on it but never a baby face ever ever again.
