The pendulum swings, back and forth, back and forth.   I remember the ultra high interest rates on loans when Jimmy Carter was president.  Bad for those who had to borrow.  Great for those who had s

Um, I'd like to see it go back up.  I can buy more gas at $3 a gal then I can at $1.85 a gal if I'm unemployed.  Not a great time to be in the offshore oil industry as times are lean and extremely tuf

  • ^^  This ^^  Those low prices are designed to drive U.S. production out of the market, and bring back its dependancy on OPEC oil.

Gas prices here seem to be stuck around $1.60 a gallon. They should be about $1.35 and going down!

It finally hit below $2.00/gal here in pa, thought I'd never see the day. If our bosses in Harrisburg figured out the budget they would've added more tax to keep it above the $2 line heh.

Gas finally got below $2 here in MD, saw a couple stations at $1.93.

Makes the stop to fill up the 36 gallon tank in my truck a lot less painful.

Multiple sources predicting we'll see $20 long before we see $40 again.  Strong dollar and continually weakening yuan are as much to blame as global supply.

Ahhhhh, Pennsylvania and gas prices.

We travel south two or three times a year.  In addition I make one or two more trips with my bass boat.  The route is west on I-78 to I-81 south.

I fill up at the last Pilot on 78 just before PA.  That gets us through PA without having to buy gas in the state.  PA has the most expensive gas between here and Florida, or Georgia, Alabama, TN, etc.  It is usually 30 to 40 cents more per gallon than in NJ or VA.  Cheapest gas is usually at the Pilot just off exit 150 in Troutville, VA.

Correction:  Connecticut has the most expensive gas with PA running a close second.

We'll be heading to Daytona in four weeks.  Looks like gas will be cheaper than I've seen in the past eight years, give or take.  It'll save us a few hundred dollars.

I guess it depends where you look, if it's rural the gas is higher (still above $2, if it's in or near town is $1.96 lowest I've seen) right now. I stopped going to pilot/flying j since they're been adding $100 holding charges on any gas purchase with a card. Been a TA or Love's customer since 2011 because of that.

Here is the St. Louis area we were down around $1.45/gal for a few days.  We jumped back up to $1.77ish the past couple of days.  Not to shabby.

87 ethanol is going for $1.65. Ethanol free 87  is $2.09.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't understand in detail how the price of a barrel of oil can have such a huge impact on Wall Street, but my 401k is testimony that it does.

I really do feel for anyone in the oil industry right now, especially since there's no relief in sight.

$1.50 a gallon here. I'm loving this. Now I don't have to spend a half a weeks wages for a tank of gas. And I only ever fill up every 3 weeks :D

With Iran throwing a bunch of cheap oil in the market it sure doesn't seem like the price will go back up anytime soon.

$26.19 today.

Some think $20 might be the floor...Don't count on it.

Dropped $.10 to $1.59 here yesterday. I might go drive around on my days off this week just because I can afford it :D
