Josh Smith
Was thinking about going today, but I guess I could work today and go Monday or Tuesday when I'll have the river or lake to myself... Josh

Midwest Fisherman
Did pretty good today, first time with the Ned-Rig. First cast landed a 3lbr, nine more on SK 2-Tap. And a Carp, go figure

OddChase
FIshing report for 3/7/16 - Hung one but didn't get it in. Managed to rip a hole in my favorite shirt thanks to heavy winds. Planning on going out tomorrow but will use something with more weight... and less hooks.
Dyerbassman
Finally got out today, too. Very windy. High, muddy waters. Not much luck in Northwest Indiana. But it was great to be out in warmer temps.

OddChase
Reports of smallies in the rivers are coming in. If you guys like fishing the river banks, I'd give it a try!
neocrunch
I went to Salamonie Reservoir yesterday. I didn't realize just how low they drain it in the winter.
jignjake
Got out on the river today, no luck. Fast currents for the kayak made it tough to make quality presentations but still a beautiful day here in the Fort.

Josh Smith
40s -- Not pre-spawn yet. I was probably fishing too fast. Couldn't get to the best spot when I tried the river, due to water levels. Crappie were jumping, though, in the river. Josh

Super User HoosierHawgs Posted March 12, 2016 Author Super User Share Posted March 12, 2016 Went out to the park lake. No dice. The rain stirred it all up, and the blue bird skies weren't helping. I'll go again this afternoon, hopefully with some overcast skies on the way in.
tstraub
I went over to mississenewa today and came up empty. I did see some guys on a boat catch a crappie and they said that they had already caught a bunch earlier. Also saw a guy pull in a catfish that had to be around 10 pounds. Going to try the river now. IndianaFinesse
I got out today for a few hours on Heritage lake, the white bass where biting like crazy on roostertails, and also got twenty-two largemouth between one and four pounds on the ned rig. The water temperature is fifty-one degrees here.
IndianaFinesse
Wanted to let you guys know the big Indiana bass site is up and running again. It's a great site, written by a fellow Indiana bass/crappie fisherman.

Have never fished for whites but have a lake close by that is full of them .
