Double Digit at Lake of the Ozarks

They are rare but Missouri does produce one now and then.  And of all things, it was caught by a guy from Texas who already has plenty of opportunity in his own state.  :)

That little one would make a nice snack for the big one.

That's a Hawg right there! ;)

Yup. 10.11 on a spinner bait in 3' of water from the back of the boat no less. Think loz lake record is a little over 13.

When they get that "bug eyed look" to them you know its a good fish!

Wow!

That's quite a fish!

Pictures can be deceiving but she looks like she could add more weight unless she is on the downhill side and getting ready to die.  I suspect she's pretty old.

Agreed.

I might even be inclined to dance with her FAT girlfriend :checkitout:

What a hog, congrats!!

Today Chuck Brumpilori caught a 10.30 pound bass.   That is the 2nd 10+ pounder caught this spring on Lake of the Ozarks.   Chuck reported catching this hawg on a spinner bait in the Grand Glaize arm of the lake. (more catch details to come).

Chuck had the fish transported to Osage Beach Bait and Tackle, where Carol and Liz had a tank ready for this giant LOZ bass.   Bass Pro shops was called and hours later showed up at Osage Beach Bait and Tackle to take the fish to its new home in the fish

Thanks for the good wishes, Dwight.  I'll have to fish out of state more often to raise my chances for one of these babies.

Wow.  This one was on the Grand Glaize arm as well.  Too bad he didn't return it to the lake.

There are some very nice bass in LOZ.  You can catch them if you can stand the boating traffic.  I know a lot of people that will not fish that lake between spring and fall.  Me being one of them.

Wonder if he's fishing in the BBB? Wouldn't want a big, dumb fish swimming around for that.

I still think that fish looks deader than dead in that basket picture.

Agreed. When Coty first replied, I thought his caption said "this one isn't living anymore."

In the 80's I use to fish LOZ out of a fifteen foot Skeeter Tri-hull . How things have changed . I have a 22 foot Lowe now , maybe I'll get the courage and go back this year . I never hear of 10 lb bass up here .
