Put down the bass stuff and went for some gills this morning. Caught a ton of really big gills!!  It was fun!

You better believe I have been throwing the Gantarel as well as the new Savage Bluegills and the hard gill. No takers YET!  

I have however caught a couple on swimbaits, just not big swimbaits yet. It will happen though. I won't ever stop throwing them!

That second one is a shellcracker (redeared sunfish). They're a little morwe rare of a catch, even when you know they're in a body of water. Right now they're spawning here. Nice fish!

Great fish!  If 'gills grew to ten pounds or so, I don't think I'd fish for anything else!  They are some tough little buggers (and a TON of fun on a light fly rod).
