Reactions to Username Photo's

Featured Replies

I have noticed that for me, some of the username photo's cause me to connect other members to things that may or may not have any bearing in reality.  For example:

Team9Nine - That scientist image makes me think that everything you post is 100% correct, backed up by years of research.  I assign credibility to all of your writings based solely on the impact of that image.  This was helpful when I learned to fish a Ned rig, for I just followed your instructions & recommendations to the letter and it has produced big time.

ScaleFace - On her desk, my mom has a picture of me at a young age holding a stringer of fish, a picture that looks similar to your username photo.  Therefore, I always think you & I are the same age and would be good fishing partners, even though I really know nothing about you.  I don't believe we are related & I don't think I have any missing siblings.

.ghoti. - The user photo looks remarkably like my high school vice principal, so I tend to avoid reading your posts.  There is nothing wrong with you, the image or your posts, I just can't get by the resemblance and it brings up many memories of me getting in trouble.  Definitely a "me" problem, not a "you" problem.

Do any other username photo's illicit reactions for you?  Don't bag on anyone for their photo, I don't want to get this thread locked.

Raider likes to use pictures of the women he's dating(current one is the best looking of the bunch). Raider seems like he knows how to party but is not a true stickman.

Well, .ghoti. has that authority now. So maybe the picture to mental image correct in this case. LOL

LMFAO!!!!!!!!

The current one just embodies her personality via the quote.

Oh, and I most certainly KNOW how to party. I also know how to get myself in trouble. How to get myself outta trouble. (Less frequently) As well as just have a generally good time wherever I roam.

Also,

Good read.  No question that avatars (and screen names) have a much greater affect on the way I interpret posts than I like to admit.  Like how hard it is take Mr Slo Bundy seriously :)   Or that I decided early on that blackshirt MUST be from Nebraska and I just can't wrap my head around the California loc.  Bigbill reminds me of FatCat Newton and I have a challenge taking him seriously (not because of bigfoot posts; Really) ;

I barely was able to avert catastrophe and not spray down my notebook with ice tea on reading that.  =:-)

Tight lines,

When I see yours, I think Sally Struthers could feed you for the cost of a cup of coffee.

Its not his current woman. It is how he feels on the inside. He has a purple haired woman ready to get out, and I don't really want to be around when she dose get out.

Never said I was good looking. Why do you think I am a machinist, and I bounce at a bar? The general public don't need to see my Quasimodo looking face.

That's right.  Besides, it's what's on the inside that counts.

Am I sensing a love connection?

Mine is a memory trigger!

December 20th is my birthday, as a tradition I try to spend it on Toledo Bend.

Mine was the first time we took our son Lake, out in the new boat. He had his little Dock Demon he was swinging around with a dog toy on the end copying what I was doing on the front deck. My wife took the picture of us and when I shared it on here member @buzzed bait added the caption. I liked it so much it's been my avatar ever since.

I used to have a pic of me holding a PB.  My daughter had a fit because she was learning about internet security in school, and how people can use that info.  It's been the Cards ever since.

I selected a crawfish as it is one of the main courses for bass and I wanted everyone to know what a bass sees as he is eating.

Picture turned out better than I imagined.
