Yesterday went fishing with my wife. The weather was hot and humid - usual during summer in NC. Since nothing was biting for a couple of hours, I got lazy and stopped twitching the worm and simple started slowly drugging it across the bottom. I started getting hits! Couldn't believe it! At the first "drag" I caught this guy, but sure enough I didn't bring my scale, since didn't hope to catch anything during this weather. Help me to guesstimate the weight of this fish. I'm 6'1.

As I lick my thumb and place it in the sky like Thornton Melon judging the wind for a triple lindy, I'm going to guess 3.25 pounds.

3 pounds on the nose.

Dragging a worm or jig is my favorite retrieve. When it gets tough I like to slow down and "count rocks". 

I too would guess about 3.

2.5 to 3lbs. 

Definately a new state record. I'd call the fish & game people and show them the photo. You may be due a certificate. Or its about 3 pounds. I'm bad at judging weights. 

Maybe between 3 and 4 pounds.

State record for sarcasm. But for this pond it is a record. Usually the fish from this pond is around 1 lbs.

Soft plastics are probably #1 year-around, but specifically during the summer. 

I suspect your fish is +/- 3 lbs.

Dragging worms is effective all year.  It's one of those things that's always there to use imo

But I'll lean toward the + side of 3  

As soon as I opened up and looked at your picture , I told myself a number before I read posts. 3. And apparently everyone else thinks so too. Nice bass . 

I would guesstimate right around 3 lbs.
