Well, a McNugget is just as fake as the plastics we throw so makes sense.

Wow! My brother used McDonald's chicken nuggets before and he caught a striper in the river by our house.

It had lived so long it was trying to commit suicide.

Texas state record is over 18#  caught on a crappie hook at lake fork.  this texas lakes record caught on a mcnugget.  Fat bass nonetheless!! That's what fast food will do to ya!!

Old news:

Here I thought catching my PB largemouth on a bluegill while chasing catfish was bad.

Are we sure it wasn't a knock off nugget from Wendy's?

Makes me wonder how fast a bass can spit out a hot wing.

Fake news!

If you're referring to the fish being caught as fake news...with all due respect, I believe you are wrong.

There is the link to Highview Marina's facebook page where the fish was caught on May 8th.  Looks authentic to me.

If you were referring to Strike King putting out a rush order of chicken nuggets...that I can believe...so it can't be fake news either

The point is there are exaggerations and sensationalism that make stories like this nothing more than click bait.

Just read your post title, misleading everyone that a new Texas bass record was caught is fake news. Now if you posted a new Texas lake record was caught.... then it may be real news if the angler could verify the catch. A 10 lb bass caught in Texas doesn't raise any eye brows, a bass caught on a Mc Nugget makes it an interesting story.

I see your point, however - I'm not the OP - I was just interacting in the conversation
