Tracker 2018 Heritage/2019 Classic edition boat

Featured Replies

Been around a while on other forums, but there are none as dedicated as this one and SOMETIMES Facebook. Just wanted to say hello and show the boat. Mines a 2020 Classic XL. I opted for searching for one which had a 50 HP on it. Mods below:

- 60 HP conversion

- 14P re-pitched to a 15 Trophy Sport propeller

- SE400 hydrofoil

- Vance Mfg. mini hydraulic jack plate

- Minn Kota Terrova 24V 80 lb. w/ iPilot & spot lock

- 24V lithium troller battery

- triple isolated battery setup

- Mini ACR for cranking and electronics battery

- Console mounted triple battery voltmeter

- Console mounted Garmin 73SV/ Bow mounted 126SV

- 3 amp dual USB charger retrofit from 12v power socket

- 12 gallon single fuel tank conversion

- Center third seat add on

- Deck extension

- Ice cooler/ step add on

- bow mounted rod tie downs

- Recessed foot pedal tray

- Boatbuckle G2 transom tie downs

Have not owned the boat a full year yet, but I've slayed tons of bass off of it and can go anywhere a fiberglass rig can, even a little shallower too. Takes rough waters pretty darn well too for a tin boat. It's perfect for lake and reservoir fishing and fishes great with two people in it. The boat runs a max of 41.7 - 42 MPH @ 5950-6000 RPM.

I would add all the photos to show the mods, but the site only allows for photos of 1 MB in size evidently, mine are slightly over. If you want to see a mod, feel free to ask for a photo and I'll compress it down to a smaller size to show it!

Sound like you have all the mods.  See what you can do about posting those pictures.  It has been quite around here lately.  I'm working on version 2 of my deck lighting.  I need some time to get it put it in.

Sounds like you got a good package.  I'd love to see some pictures

I finally finished installing red LED's in  the heritage.  What kind you putting in yours?

The strip lights I had unfortunately didn't work out.  At the front part of the boat, they were getting abused and stopped working.  The back half they still work, but I don't fish much back there.  I also had them buckle in places after I applied them.  I guess the strip expands more than the boat?

For round two I am experimenting with these:

https://amazon.com/dp/B08F7G8B9B?ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details&th=1

These are cheap lights and of course are not what they advertise.  For starters they are not waterproof.  The wires come straight out the center of the back, and the holes are not sealed properly.  They use something like a hot glue to hold the circuit board down, and use that as a seal for the wires.  It's a nice theory, but doesn't hold up.

Also, they are not very bright.  As deck lights this might be perfect, I don't have to buy a dimmer switch or put a resistor in-line with the lights.

Since the interior of the boat is carpet, I'm planning on using heavy duty Velcro to hold the lights in place.  When I get around to installing them, I'll post some pictures. :ship-022:

Let me see what I can do about putting in some photos.

I'd probably say the only thing missing at this point is some LED lighting and some little things here and there. I may convert the rear storage into a livewell here fairly soon to be able to fish tournaments whenever I want, but that's about it.

Okay. I managed to get some photos reduced, but I was entirely unable to post them all up at the same time. So to avoid the spam, I just created a Google drive photo folder. Feel free to view it.

Thank you! I just uploaded some videos to it as well and re-uploaded the original photos to it so you can zoom in further without the photo distorting. ?

Anyone change the water pump impeller yet?  That will be on my "to do list" once it gets warmer.  I'm curious on how well it has held up.

Yeah,

I had mine changed by my boat shop.  It was still in good condition but it was time to have it done.

I just got a kit to change it out, once it warms up a little.  I can't believe I've had this boat going on 4 years now :laughing6:.

I've done most of the servicing:  motor oil, lower unit, fuel filters and spark plugs, but the impeller seems a bit scary for me to do.  I think it's cool you're doing it yourself.  Maybe when you're done you can post some instructions with pictures.

About the only complicated thing is aligning the spline on the drive shaft. That and the bulk of the lower unit. It helps to have an extra set of hands for that and feathering the starter when aligning the drive shaft.

What kit?  I am at work trying to find an impeller.  Doing all of my services this week.

The impeller is part #47-19453T.  I got the water pump kit here.  What I don't use, like the housing, I'll have on hand.  I still have to change it :occasion14:.

Changed the impeller yesterday.  The hardest part is getting the lower unit back on.  It takes some finagling to get it back on properly.  The impeller looked good, it probably didn't need changing, but it's 4 years old and I wanted to make sure it was OK.  After awhile, as you can see in the picture, the fins started to straighten out.

If anyone does change their own impeller, I would change the impeller and faceplate gasket.  My gasket tore when I lifted the housing up.  :ship-022:

That level of vaning warrants the replacement for sure.  I don't think I'd ever not change the gasket when replacing the impeller.

I stopped by a boat shop and purchased the impeller that same day I asked.  The guy gave me the gaskets as well.  I will post the gasket part numbers later.  Putting that lower unit in was tough... I had to make sure the lower unit was in neutral, the little gear/rod controls that.

I replaced the In-Line Fuel filter... What a pain!!!  The spark plugs distributors are in the way!!!! I zip-tied the last one on rather that bolted it.  It will only make the service easier when I do the plugs.  Also, I am going to get a longer gas line and move the filter to the other side where there is a TON  of room.

The filters, impeller, and fluids were all good.  I kept the old impeller and "easy" fuel filter housing for emergency spare parts for now.

So the trailer doesn't get much attention other than grease.  I might hit a spot or two when washing the boat to knock some mud off or something.  The paint isn't smooth and has a rough finish to it.  Anyhow, it was starting to get a chalk like something stuck to it.  Not expecting too much, I tried Chemical Guys Undercarriage Protectant.  What a difference.  It really brings back the black to the trailer.  It's kind of oily and can be a bit messy.  It also has a grape smell to it.  Good stuff.  We will see how well it holds up.  :occasion14:

Just some pictures of my bunks.  I replaced the bunks after. Two failed on my summer road trip.  Two failed after fist leg from CA to AR.  I noticed when I was in OKC that the side bunk was completely gone!  Not sure how that happened.  When I arrived to Arkansas and launched in the River, I saw that my bunk just about fell off.  The lag bolts fell out on the road.  Sorry to the flat tires for some person(s) on I-40...  I think the same happened to the side bunk.  I did not hit or get hit.  The lags just rattled out.

I replaced the side bunk and one long bunk and carpet in Arkansas.  I treated the boards there with a sealing protector... I did not use treated wood. I brought the second board back with me and replaced it at the lake in CA.

I did not use lag bolts.  I countersunk a bolt through the wood and put a locking but on the underside... All stainless steel.  This way, if a nut falls off, that is all I need to replace... Secondly, I left the bottom of the bunks exposed so that the wood drains faster.  I can tell if they are going bad.

I had to replace both of my bottom bunks last weekend.  I noticed they were broken near the lag bolts both front and back.  They appear to have had some rot  around the lage bolts area  I replaced them with regular 2x4,s, treating them with spar urethane.  I re carpeted and left the bottoms exposed similar to Jaime.  I just re used the lag bolts as they were in good shape.   Thanks for the pictures.  I wanted to order the Ultimate Bunk Boards but shipping was as expensive as the actual product.

I am about to replace my bunks after I noticed that one of them broke and was considering going the Ultimate Bunk Boards route.  Anyone installed these?  What model and size did you go with and are they working well for you?

@A-Jay - I know you put them on under the Lund. How they working out for you

I'm thinking of putting them under Bass Trek this coming winter.

You names your boat "Bass Trek" as in Star Trek only with bass?  I like it.

I was going to name my boat the "Lady Mormont" but season 8 was so bad, I could not bring myself to order the letters.
