Ordered mine yesterday, Feb. 9th.  Said 6 to 8 weeks for delivery.  Got it from BP near Knoxville, TN.  He said they have around 25 ordered so far.  They keep one in stock on the floor for folks to look at.  He says he's heard all the numbers of what rumors say they will make....from 2500 to 4000....so, who really knows.  The demand is obviously great, so they might go an extra couple months on producing them??  That's my rumor!  Ha!

 

How about some sort of ladder for this one?  Anyone got plans for that as of yet?  Portable, or otherwise?  Or could one just use the motor to get back in, if you hardly ever get out of the boat anyway?  Would it hurt the motor/power trim to climb in stepping on it (less than 200 lbs), or maybe even using the power trim to lift you up a bit to get into the boat?  I'm assuming there is a switch at the motor to operate the trim, is that correct?

Yes, there is a Trim switch on the side of the motor. I specifically looked for it on Thursday when I stopped in at BPS. 

Just to good to pass up. I ordered one today with couple of upgrades.

first went with 24 volt 70lb thrust minnkota edge and added a 3 bank charger. Putting a Lawrence hook 2 tripleshot in the bow.

Ordered mine last Sunday at the BPS in Raleigh NC.

Salesman told me they were only making 2500 of these boats and they were expected to sale out by the end of February, also told me it will take at least 12 weeks to get mine.

Thats a long wait.

Is a keel guard for an aluminum boat like ours necessary? I'm searching around trying to find out.

if you plan on beaching your boat much, it helps protect the Keel. in the 30 years that I had aluminum boats I never had a keel guard and my boats were no worse for the wear. My current fiberglass boat has one but I still try to use a dock whenever possible. 

Does anyone have any thoughts, experiences, info on an onboard battery charger vs normal charger?   Is onboard simply convenient, or are there other advantage(s)?

You want an onboard charger.  You simply plug in the boat, no fussing with clip connections, or potentially screwing up the connections.  They make 2, 3, and 4 bank chargers.  I've always used Dual Pro brand.

Get info there …. Looking to put a 2 bank on mine for sure.

Very good.  What dictates the # of banks you should get....one bank for each battery...so a two bank charger for the Heritage?

Considering "they" are so "behind" on production, and that the boat is advertised in the Spring Classic Sale Flyer, I have a hard time believing there is a hard limit on how many they will produce.

Just talked to my dealer,and she told me my boat is load eligible and will be here next week!My wait is almost over!

Hey wait, I ordered before you!

You guys have convinced my to go order one!  I have been boatless for the past 10 years due to teenagers, etc... My youngest leaves for University of Arkansas this summer.  SO, I am more than ready to get back into fishing to fill my time.  I thought about other models, fiberglass, etc..., was actually looking at the Ranger model for alum. Boats at the Houston Boat Show this past January.  Ran into the 40th version of Tracker and was amazed by the price.  Have three dealers here in the Houston area and when I called them today they all had a few in stock.  SO shouldn't be a problem. Going to visit my oldest at UofArkansas this weekend so will go shopping next week when I return.

Loving the forum, guys.  Coming from a 10' Pelican, and waiting on my Heritage (5 weeks out...supposedly), I have a question.  Surely y'all know the layout of the boat, and I've never had an on-board charger, so can I get some suggestions on where to mount it?  I've gathered from here that a 2 bank would be my choice, but other than that I dont know anything about them.  Had a regular "clamp" charger for my Pelican until it got stolen.

In my Tracker Heritage Group on Facebook there has been a conversation of adding or upgrading fuel tanks but also has images of installation of the onboard charger.  The ones I have seen so far are installed in the back area with the batteries and fuel tank.

Since I am satisfied with my current bass boat and am not in the market, I kind of ignored this thread.  Then I noticed that the posts just keep growing and decided to take a look.  The number of newer and completely new members responding to this thread is phenomenal.  To all of you who have decided to purchase this boat, I hope it increases your fishing satisfaction.
