I just saw on Facebook that Clayton George has been severely injured in a work accident. Struck by a truck while operating a tow truck. If anyone has more info or is in contact with his family please pass along our well wishes. There's also a go fund me account

Is that Clayton who was doing fiberglass work for the railroad?

I'm not sure. I know of him from several online platforms and doing business. Even if he's not registered here he's an avid angler who suffered a tragedy.

Yup, you're right.  I was thinking of someone else.

Terrible news.  Praying for him and his family.

Gosh...I live in a cave.

Terrible news. We're semi-local to each other, friends on FB, and have always made plans to fish with each other that never seem to work out time-wise

I hope he's going to be OK.

The message here is slow down.  Had this one person just slowed down, my friend wouldn't be in this predicament.

@wnybassman?

The last I knew he was still unresponsive, but I believe it is still induced.    This is from another mutual friend shortly after the accident.....

From what I have heard is he is rough shape. He has a broken pelvis and neck, collapsed lung, and some other internal injuries (Liver/kidney I believe). The real concern though is his head injury. The have him heavily sedated and are monitoring the swelling on his brain. They need to get that under control before they put his pelvis back together. Everything I have heard they keep talking about recovery time, so in the end I think it's still positive and a good chance of recovery but it sounds like it will be a long road.

Wow. Just saw this and makes you sick to read what happened. I remember the years of him going through things with the military, work, his relationships, and always wanting to do the right thing for his kid(s). Thoughts and prayers to him and his family and hopefully they get much better news soon.

I had heard they put a plate in his pelvis, and a tube to drain the fluid in his skull.  He is awake.  That's about it.  Unfortunately, I'm getting most of this second hand through various sources.  I wish I could just go and see the dude.

Sorry.  I placed a post here that belonged on the photo thread.

Thoughts and wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

I just saw this thread. This is so scary. I have Clayton's phone number and I was just texting with him in October whenever I was up in his area salmon fishing about meeting up but our schedules never aligned. I hope he has a speedy recovery and that God is looking over him.

That's awesome news and an excellent sign as his brain starts to recover from the trauma. Thank you for the update!
